1963: THE BEATLES LAST LOW BUDGET VACATION

This photo of The Beatles taken in 1963 by a guy named Tony Barrow who worked with the band, just surfaced in the UK, and it shows the group leading an ordinary life just before they hit it big. This picture was taken at a “typical” English resort of the era and it’s not exactly The Four Seasons. Guests are sprawled and sunning themselves on aluminum chairs on a frazzled lawn and cement area. With no sign of a pool. This was taken a month BEFORE their megahit song “She Loves You” hit number one. That’s when everything changed.

Obscure?
The Beatles will become obscure when folks like “worried about Janet” above become heterosexual and listen to actual music instead of computer generated cruise ship entertainers.

Glad you’re finally running some age appropriate features. But dig a little deeper, you must have stuff on L.A. musicians, like Go Go’s, Bangles, Linda Ronstadt, Eagles, Joni Mitchell, Kim Carnes, The Motels, etc.

Check out the fifth Beatle laying out.
You know the real irony is – these guys never really changed much, it was the people around them. The leaches who influenced them negatively. Imagine what they would have become if they never turned into STAR’s ?
Look at some of there hobbies now days and that’s a good indicator of what kind of work they’d be doing… Fixing up hotrods, mowing lawns for a living… Look at Clapton, institutionalized for drug use but learned something new and is now teaching self awareness.
Lets hope Paul just plays the field – why get married, expensive lesson.

Wonder why Lennon didn’t take off his shirt. Do you suppose this is actually some of his photos… I mean, why is he still dressed ?
You know, those vest were really popular, short no sleeves – lots of Harley Riders still like to wear those… Makes them look – manly I suppose. Hip.

OOOOH anonymous at 11:45 – like your suggestion about LA Bands. Been there, done some of them. C’mon Janet, call Jenny Lens and Elterman – get the pics and POST some stories. I’ve got a feeling that Janet was a big ole groupie herself. Spill.
