BEHIND CLOSED DOORS
Kathy Griffin is pulling the wool over our eyes in the nicest possible way. Kathy, a self confessed reality show junkie, introduced some totally UNREAL elements to her show “My Life on the D-List.” Last September Kathy filed for divorce from her “soulmate” of over four years Matthew Moline. The divorce was never finalized and Kathy claimed they were working things out. But in actuality, things DIDN’T work out, and Matthew moved into his own place last year. For this season’s tapings Matt always arrived early in the morning before the cameras, and PRETENDED to be still living in Kathy’s hillside mansion. The marriage is OVER although Kathy and Matt are still good friends. When will she admit her little subterfuge?

Kathy talked about this on Howard Stern a couple weeks ago. She’s not hiding the fact that they are indeed divorced, but still living together. They are living together, though during the divorce, they were not. It’s her show and she can choose to have some things in there that she wants and leave out other things. I don’t blame her for not bringing her divorce into it. The show is less about her marriage and more about her life as a D List celebrity, where she goes and what she does.

Kathy is quick, smart and very funny. I’m not sure about Matt although during the first season it really seemed as if he truly cared for her and tried to protect her. All that fantasy sports or hand held video game playing was creepy. Made him look like a slacker. I keep waiting for some re=runs or new shows. Guess I’ll have to wait a little longer
