Jon (Napolean Dynamite) Heder is in awe of Diane Keaton, who plays his mother in the currently filming “Mama’s Boy.” Heder plays a thirtysomething slacker who lives with his doting mother in the comedy. They’ve been filming on location in the triple digit heat in Santa Clarita, California. On one agonizingly hot day Diane hired a snow cone cart to service the overheated cast and crew all day. On their last day at that location Diane had cupcakes for everyone delivered from Sprinkles in Beverly Hills. “Diane really CARES about the cast and crew” a coworker remarked. Or as Napolean would say “Sweeeeeet!”

Stop the presses! Victoria “Posh Spice” Beckham made front page news in the UK because SHE GOT A HAIRCUT – or more accurately, removed her extensions. We’re depressed from reading about world problems too – but this is grasping at straws. Of course, we have to admit the U.S. can be just as silly about celebrities. Remember Pamela Anderson knocked all the other stories off the front page when she had her implants “removed” a few years ago. (So many people were outraged that she put them right back IN.)

1999: Ricky Martin is happy with his success but craving a little freedom. He’s been going out in Los angeles disguised as a bum! Ricky wears a long shaggy blonde wig, raggedy clothes, and Gilligan style hat and big sunglasses. His getup is so convincing he had a hard time getting past the doorman when he tried to visit a friend in a West hollywood highrise. The security guard thought he was a homeless person and refused to buzz him in.

5K Munchkin

1999, Sylvester Stallone made a new best friend – a five thousand dollar rare tiny dog. Sly splurged on a brand new breed called a Munchkin and he’s so smitten the he-man carries it everywhere. The three pound pup got sick on the set of “Get Carter” and Sly was distraught until the delicate dog recovered. Now Sly has a vet on call.

Valentine’s Day in 2003 Britney Spears got the Valentine gift that keeps on giving – PAIN. Brit treated herself and some galpals to piercings for Valentines day and her pierced nipple is taking it’s time to heal. A braless Britney wandered into Urban Outiftters on Melrose and she tried on a number of outfits, giving salegirls a glimpse of her 20-gauge piercing. When she pulled a top over her head, Britney winced in pain. The piercing she was so proud of was still tender. The high price of beauty.

Some might recall the 2001 moment when Heath Ledger, the new Batman, was 22 and single, having another fling with actress and torch singer Lisa Zane. Lisa met Heath a few years back when they were both filming in Australia and they had a mad fling, although he was nearly fifteen years younger than she was. It was enough to end Lisa’s relationship with Michael DesBarres. Heath adores older women but at the time Lisa feared he was too young for her and after awhile she broke it off. Once he was more mature and established, Lisa let him know she’s interested again and he was been a regular visitor at her Beverly Hills home.
