There are plenty of gay shenanigans in Adam Sandler’s currently filming movie “I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry.” It’s about firemen who pretend they’re gay to get health benefits. Hulking Ving Rhames plays a macho fireman of indeterminate sexual preference, and his character was supposed to give a big kiss to another guy. But Ving could NOT bring himself to do it. Kissing a guy freaked him out. Producers solved the problem by grabbing an extra – a tallish girl with short hair – and they dressed her up in men’s clothes. Ving was perfectly happy to kiss the girl in drag – and the girl was thrilled because the bigger role meant she got her SAG card.!

Finally someone has taken the incentive to force Britney Spears to stop flashing the press! She dined at Mr Chow for her 25th birthday Saturday night and her two male companions were very fussy about how she arrived. One thoughtful dude actually HELD her knees together and forced her to climb out of the car that way. Somebody give that guy a medal – he did what none of her other “friends” had the sense to do. Paris and Nicky Hilton and Lindsay Lohan joined Brit inside where they partied in the private room. Afterward they all took off for Hyde. Two unexpected party guests turned up there-club promoter Ingrid Casares and her expartner Chris Paciello. Chris is a mafia goon who recently got out of jail after informing on his mob bosses- (shouldn’t he be in the witness protection program?) Let’s hope Britney doesn’t pick him as her new best friend.

We have another bone to pick with Gloria Allred, who is representing the four men insulted by Michael Richards at the Laugh Factory. She set up a meeting so that Richards can apologize to them in person. That’s fine, but a retired judge will “mediate” and there MAY be a CASH SETTLEMENT involved. A BAD idea.

Imagine a world where people insulted are routinely rewarded with cash settlements! Lawyers will be licking their chops. We think Richards’ public humiliation and a sincere apology are enough.
