Sure, Farrah Fawcett has been feeling lousy from her cancer treatments, but she says the Enquirer story about her begging “Let Me Die” is all wrong. To prove her point she had Ryan O’Neal take her out to lunch at the very public Cafe Roma in Beverly Hills. She wanted everyone to see that she’s not at death’s door and hoped to have pictures taken. Of course, Ryan still has that TEMPER and in this photo it looks like for the moment he forgot Farrah’s mission and he’s giving the photographer the evil eye and gesturing as if he’s about to stick a fork in him.

BEYONCE: no thanks

We’re going out on a limb here, but this photo looks to us like it’s time for Beyonce to stand up to her mother and say “Please don’t make any more dresses for me!” Not that her mother isn’t a talented designer – it’s just that Beyonce had graduated to the world of luxury couture and THAT is not whipped up by your mother. Especially for the premier of your first starring movie. This baby blue scallopy confection wrapped up in a big bow that Beyonce wore to the LA premier of Dreamgirls looks like it might have come from a bridal shop in downtown Los Angeles. If mom didn’t make it, she should have vetoed it.

LARRY KING: GOING UP?

For YEARS Larry King has taped his TV show at the CNN building on Sunset Blvd in Hollywood. But if you ask other people who work in the building what Larry’s like, they say they have never encountered him. How is that possible? It was explained that when Larry arrives every day, his “assistants” (usually eager-to-please young women) run ahead of him and shoo everyone OUT of the elevator SO HE CAN RIDE ALONE – both coming and going. Apparently Larry feels he’s above making small talk with strangers in the elevator.

We'll Miss Peter Boyle

As JCH mourns the passing of Peter Boyle, noted actor most known for his role as the father in Everybody Loves Raymond, we would like to recall this amusing story from 2003 -
Ray Romano’s been having a long term argument with the rest of the cast – about snoring! Overworked Ray has been falling asleep right on the set in his chair during rehearsals. His costars Patricia Heaton, Brad Garrett, and Peter Boyle accused him of loud snoring but Ray refused to believe them, claiming he does NOT snore. To prove their point, Brad, Patricia, and Peter waited for Ray to nod off and recorded his loud snorts and honks. They played it back for him and Patricia declared “You sound like a chorus of trained bears!” Ray was shocked to hear that he snored at full volume while sitting up in a chair!
