Rockers Tommy Lee and Dave Navarro are friends AND rivals. They aren’t competitive when it comes to music, but when women are involved it’s a different story. They both want to be top dog with the rocker chicks. When Dave Navarro and his wife Carmen Electra split up, Tommy was sympathetic – and immediately called Carmen for a date. (We hear she didn’t say no) Dave was NOT happy. When Dave heard that Tommy’s exwife Pamela Anderson abruptly ended her marriage to Kid Rock, he was delighted at the prospect of evening the score. He commiserated with Pam about divorce and started flirting and asking her out. Smarty pants Pam figured out what the was up to and cut him off at the pass.

This weekend we met a tall gorgeous nineteen year old model named Aisha who told us she is from Kazakhstan! What a coincidence! That, of course, is the country Borat made famous! We were pleasantly surprised to see that people from her country did not all look like Borat or the gypsies featured in his movie. Aisha, who is currently posing for the Urban Outfitters catalog, told us she LOVED the movie and didn’t find it offensive at all.

Here’s the perfect Christmas gift for anyone who loves gossip or Hollywood history: MR. CONFIDENTIAL . It’s a book about the man behind the famous 50’s scandal magazine and it’s written by my friend Sam Bernstein. Robert Harrison, the publisher behind Confidential, adored homosexual exposes and gleefully wrote about those “lavender lads” – Liberace being “mad about the boy” and Tab Hunter’s “gay pajama party.” He even outed Van Johnson by declaring his conversion to heterosexuality. The “baritone babes” Lizabeth Scott and Marlene Dietrich got their share of stories too. I asked Sam to tell me about a scoop that Confidential COULDN’T print and he recalled one about Elvis. Back in 1957. A PR guy claimed that Elvis had an ongoing affair with another famous teen idol. (Tab? Troy? Fabian? Bobby?) Supposedly they got together for “man-play” – wrestling and beyond. Confidential couldn’t substantiate the story and didn’t print it. WE don’t think it was true either. In Tab Hunter’s bio he mentioned that he was miffed when Elvis stole his “beard” Natalie Wood away from him.

Breaking with the band Justin Timberlake may have just signed up for the Grammys, but in 2004 he was looking for new friends, all in the name of role research: Justin had been hounding acquaintances to introduce him to drug dealers. Don’t jump to negative conclusions – he ’s simply researching a role.(Wasn’t that Winona Ryder’s excuse?) Actually Justin is doing a movie with Nick Cassavetes in which he plays a Hollywood drug dealer so he want to observe and hang out with the real thing. That’s why he was seen chatting with a shady character that Nick introduced him to at Shelter.

Add one more to the growing list of racist and abrasive celebs - Judith Regan, the most hated editor of ReganBooks, who wasn’t fired over the the OJ debacle, but instead over antisemetic slurs and insults to a Harper Collins lawyer this last week. Reports are in that Rupert Murdoch personally fired her, but we see a Mel Gibson book deal coming soon.
