AMY WINEHOUSE: BEFORE THE TATTOOS AND BEEHIVE

Amy Winehouse’s mother Janis talked about her daughter to the Daily Mail in the UK and she provided these cute childhood photos. (Little Amy has distinct eyebrows, doesn’t she? And she’s still wearing the same shoes!) Janis said that Amy’s father Mitch used to sing Sinatra songs to his little girl and she would sing along. Little Amy was shy but she got in trouble with her teachers in school for singing during class. The future rockstar had no patience for studying and she quit school and entered the music business too early, according to her mom. As for Amy’s husband Blake, Janis declared “The less said the better.”

    Nice pics. Ha, it’s hilarious to see the burbling vitriol from REAL “nobodies” who aren’t fit to wash the sidewalk Amy Winehouse walks on. She is THE genius jazz voice of the decade, and probably more. She is absolutely brilliant. Too bad some people have no ear for real music, no appreciation for genius.
    It’s nothing new to see a brilliant jazz musician messing around with drugs. It happens. Maybe it’s the price of genius, or something. I hope she survives.
    But why trash her? Really, go appreciate whoever appeals to you, no doubt some inoccuous but mediocre, interchangeable blonde pop star singing interchangeable, dumb bubble-gum pop with a breathy voice. Ranting against one of the few REAL stars alive only makes you look stupid.
