AMY WINEHOUSE MADE BALLET SLIPPERS COOL

Hey, Amy Winehouse is WAY more of a fashion maverick than she’s given credit for. She’s influenced the hair world with her beehive, the makeup crowd with her eyeliner, and she single-handedly turned pink satin ballet slippers from having a girly ballerina image to the image of a BAD BAD GIRL. (Remember those blood soaked slippers?) Capezio must be thrilled.

    I thought they were Isotoners too, but in another picture it looked like you could see the suede sewn-on bottom like the Payless ballet slippers.
    Be that as it may, one of the ads in this month’s Vogue features a model in a modified beehive and wing eyeliner who looked a little bit like Amy, but I don’t think it was her, so maybe she did start a look.

    Personally, I think AW is a beautiful woman with incredible talent. Yes, she has some very real problems and I am sorry for that. As far as her sense of fasion goes, I really don’t think that’s a big deal. It’s her talent that I care about. I hope she gets her life straightened out before it’s too late.
