AMY WINEHOUSE AND RONNIE SPECTOR HAVE MORE THAN EYELINER AND BEEHIVES IN COMMON
Amy Winehouse is preparing to record a new album and she can hardly wait. She and Mark Ronson, the producer of her monster hit album Back To Black, have patched things up and he’s full of ideas for her. Mark says Amy’s next effort won’t be like the first – not the same 60’s or Motown vibe. Ronson is thinking about using what he says is an even earlier musical inspiration -the “WALL OF SOUND.” And you know who developed THAT! Phil Spector. It all ties together. Amy bears a striking resemblance to Phil’s bee-hived and eye-linered wife Ronnie “Be My Baby” Spector. Certainly the mistrialed Phil Spector would jump at the chance to inject himself into Amy’s career, but we’re counting on Mark Ronson to keep Phil at a safe distance.

Could be cool. Unfortunately, no Jack Nitsche = no Wall of Sound. Anyone can lay on tons of echo and triple the instrumental tracks. To my ears, Roy Wood is the only artist who ever came close to reproducing the actual W.O.S. (listen to “I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday”)

How in the Wide, Wide, World of Sports can this possibly be considered gossip? You read crap like this in Billboard for god sakes.

Talking about Hair.
Look at Janet’s, look very similar to what “Wendy’s” gals are wearing…
Janet, contact your lawyer and you could easily win big on this case.

Love Amy. And I bet Phil Spector would love to get his hands on her.

I’ll bet this bit hasn’t got the energy for simply fucking!! On the other hand, her boy-friend is a fucking nobody. So I feel NO sorrow!!

Is Goldstar studios still around? Probably not. I’m not sure I like the idea of emulating a murderer like Spector. Why give him more props? He murdered poor Lana Clarkson and walked!

Well, actually he didn’t walk they’re trying him again. But of all the sounds to copy, why Spector? It’ll just add to his already inflated legend. Copy The Beatles instead, I say.

Or The Rolling Stones, even. Amy could wail on some bluesy rockers like Mick & the boys did.
