ELIZABETH TAYLOR IS A HIT AT THE ABBEY GAY BAR

Elizabeth Taylor’s friends rolled her wheelchair into The Abbey - a busy gay restaurant/bar in West Hollywood the other night. The older gay guys in the place were abuzz with excitement – a screen legend in their midst! Witnesses said she cuddled her white DOG and seemed “giddy” – she did a lot of giggling at the table. Several times she pulled out her jeweled compact and proceeded to touch up her makeup. She seemed “out of it,” but her fans were delighted to see her. The next day she was reportedly spotted in the lobby of Cedars Sinai hospital – again with her DOG! How DOES she get away with it?

   Liz has always loved the gays: Montgomery Clift and Rock Hudson were good friends of hers.
   I think her dog had a little drinkie too. It looks plastered.

   The Abbey was purchased by entertainment conglomerate SBE last year. It’s really no longer a gay nightclub although we gays still go there. The last time I was there, it was about 80% tourists and old folks like Liz. Love Liz by the way. More so than Barbra.

    No one is going to pry her pet from her arms at her age!
    She looks good here. Miss Taylor makes an effort to look put together despite her health woes, she is wearing real shoes although she does not need to in a wheelchair.
    These younger so called stars who stumble out of SUVS wearing flip flops and miniskirts (with no underwear) could take a clue from older stars like Elizabeth Taylor who understand the POWER of a good image.
    When a real star makes a public appearance she should look put together.

    Nobody should be saying nothing about this Hollywood Legend.
    Pure and simple, though she’s been thru some mighty big peaks and valley’s in her time.
    I’ve seen better photos of her, but who knows how much longer she will be around.
    Go watch one of her movies with Paul Newman. Classics!

    I was sipping a drink with a friend of mine who had come all the way from London to see me over the weekend, I couldn’t believe it, when I saw her coming down the ramp, she did look very happy and a little out of it, but so what? She’s a living star, wonderful Dame!

    I agree, Elizabeth Taylor is a living legend. She is a Diva and a Grand Dame….girls in Hollywood today, pay attention. Better yet go to the video store and get every movie that you can of Elizabeth Taylor and learn how to act…. Yocheved
