Kate Beckinsale’s husband Len Wiseman doesn’t seem to mind shopping with her. And we never noticed how good looking he is- he finally took off that baseball cap. Did you know that back in 2002 Kate and her then boyfriend Michael Sheen (he’s the father of her child) were costarring in “Underworld” which was being directed by Len? In the middle of filming she left her boyfriend for Len and they all had to continue working together. She meant business – Kate married Len in 2004.

She came to Hworld with her long-time bf and father of her child. Thought she’d be a star so dumped her guy, got fake boobies and married an American director.
Frankly, I liked her better as a Brit when she played Emmma in the Jane Austen classic. She was a bigger fish in that small pond. Now she is just another Hwood wannabe.

Interesting to see how her once promising career has pretty much dissolved…
She’s a sort of shorter, much prettier Minnie Driver; and like her, Kate mistakenly launched herself into Hollywood before most people knew what it was that made her special.
Others have shown much more restraint and have far bigger careers to show for it — Kate Winslet, Helena Bonham Carter, even Samantha Morton, just to name a few.
Now, as the earlier poster pointed out, Kate’s just one of the pack, albeit one whose highest profile projects are appearances on the red carpet.
She was very good in “Cold Comfort Farm,” which she made fully a dozen years ago. She needed more exposure like that under her belt, instead of allowing herself to get swallowed up in bombs like “Pearl Harbor,” or being seen in roles for which she was woefully miscast — as mentioned, Ava Gardner.
If she sticks around, she’s more likely to gravitate to television (like Driver); Most directors don’t seem to know what to do with her — with the exception of her husband, and that’s not quite the same thing.

She’s got a couple films in post production and she just signed onto one with DeNiro. They all look very promising. She did an excellent job with her gloomy Snow Angels role and she should definately be considered an A-List actress. I can’t think of any actress more attractive or talented. Her break thru award winning role should be right around the corner.
