MORGAN FREEMAN COULD TAKE A TIP FROM NICE GUY PETER GALLAGHER

morgancut.jpg
Morgan Freeman and Peter Gallagher are costarring in “The Country Girl” on Broadway and they get along great but have very different regard for their fans. A theatergoer who loved the show told us that there are usually a few dozen admirers outside the backstage exit waiting for autographs from the stars. When Morgan exits he has burly guards yelling “No pictures! No autographs!” He exits in his car without even acknowledging the people waiting for him. Peter Gallagher, on the other hand, was described as very friendly, and he made an effort to accommodate everyone. It’s too bad Morgan can’t seem to appreciate his admirers.

I ran into Peter at the chatteau in Hwood in 1998. I was lost looking for the bar and he was super cool and helped me find where i was going. Totally real and down to earth guy in my opinion on that brief meeting.

Oh no don’t tell me that Morgan Freeman, 70’s childhood hero “Easy Reader” from Electric Company is an azzhole?? Hope this isn’t true….

I’ve heard that Morgan Freeman had no appreciation for his fans so yes I believe this would be true. Ashley Judd said he’s a jerk.

This lowers my respect for Morgan Freeman 100%. I have no use for actors who disrespect their fans. Where does Morgan Freeman think he would be without his fans?

I have read this about Morgan Freeman before, at least 4 times, and have heard testimonies of fans who have been snubbed. I never liked his pompous sarcastic ass anyway. But maybe HE is a racist and will only give autographs to those of his race. Don’t anyone get uptight; just surmising about the racist thing.

I understand Steve Martin is not fan-friendly, either. This is sad because these are the same people who want you to pay money to see their movies (and in Steve’s case, money to buy his books).

I saw Morgan nephew at Ground Zero Blues Club about a year ago. Didn’t photo him as I’m not into photographing celebrities. I could photographed Clapton as he was standing right in front of me. But, I didn’t know he had aged so much!! I’m like, who’s this old geezer in front of me. I still think of that guy as 40′ish guitar guy.
But, blacks in the South especially entertainers are very coy about being photographed. It’s like, the CIA or FBI needs to profile them or something.
Take for instance last November when I was outside of BB Kings club in Memphis… His security guy was just running off people. People just want to look at the guy walk into his own place – but instead they’re running off his fans.
When I photographed Dr. Ernest Withers at there hang out. He said “I have nothing to hide”. An so I took his picture. Who is Ernest Withers, a helluva guy. The great civil rights photographer, who got around the south when it was a hotbed of activity.

Morgan needs to dye his hair !!
Make him feel younger and look it as well.
Wonder why somebody doesn’t make a movie out of Ernest Withers life and let Morgan Freeman play him.
Course, I wonder if Denzel Washington is available…

I saw a preview of Spamalot in New York.
Director Mike Nichols didn’t sign autographs, but waved to the huge crowd waiting outside after the play.
Stars David Hyde Pierce, Hank Azaria, and Tim Curry were all super friendly and signed autographs and talked with everyone.

This cute actress has been marketed as the next big thing, thanks to her role on a somewhat popular series, but she’ll have a hard time living up to the hype. What will do her in is not her acting – it’s her secret drug problem. She’s addicted to cocaine (it keeps her thin) and it’s ruining her reputation – she’s late for appointments, moody on the set, and looks worn out. Ironically, she’s often been compared looks-wise to a slightly older beautiful actress with the same problem.

    Whodunit?? Guess who.

  • It happened in 2000: One of Whitney Houston’s alltime favorite movies has always been the tearjerker “Love Story.” She’s hoping to update and remake the move starring herself and her husband Bobby Brown as the doomed couple originally played by Ali MacGraw and Ryan O’Neal. Whitney realizes audiences might have a hard time swallowing Bobby as the wealthy and refined young man so she plans to switch the roles and have the female character from the right side of the tracks. She’s already working on a script and hopes to start filming before the end of the year. (As we all know, it didn’t work out….)

So, what do you think of that?! DO TELL!
