Everybody’s getting into the discount fashion business these days- maybe the economy has something to do with it. Penelope Cruz and her equally adorable sister Monica are models for the fall collection for Mango - a modestly priced and successful chain of stores that started in Spain and spread all over the world. Madonna designed for H&M, and the Cruz sisters have their own collection for Mango.

I guess they think if they’re celebrities, they’re automatically talented designers too. NOT!All this stuff ends up in the bargain bins at the discount stores and still no one buys it. I recently walked into a discount store in Torrance, Ca. where they supposedly have lots of name brands, including some designer stuff at a super discounts, (according to the owner he buys from the dept. stores what they can’t sell.) He literally had about 20 racks of Niki Hilton’s crappy designs. Apparently he couldn’t sell it either.

Mango is NOT a discount brand, it’s High Street, but has nothing at all to do with H&M neither in quality nor in prices. Please get your facts straight right before publishing.
Models for Mango in the past have been Claudia Schiffer (she was the model for all the campaigns from 1992 through 1995), Christy Turlington, Naomi Campbell, Eva Herzigova, Karolina Kurkova, Milla Jovovich, etc etc.
