DON'T COUNT MICKEY ROURKE OUT YET!
Life IS full of surprises. Just when everyone was writing off Mickey Rourke as an over the hill has-been, he pulled off an acting triumph! Mickey’s film “The Wrestler” was voted BEST MOVIE at the Venice Film Festival and he will certainly be an Oscar contender! In the movie, Mickey plays a heartbreaking character – an ageing wrestler who is in despair as his body fails him and friends desert him. It just goes to show that looks aren’t EVERYTHING in Hollywood – at least when it comes to men.

These old eyes have never seen such a buff, clean-cut, handsome, leading man type. He is gorgeous and soooo sexy. Who wouldn’t want to have a love scene with him and kiss those luscious lips. Oh, mama.

Mikey Rourke’ talent has never been questioned, his sanity is questionable.
No sane person would allow himself to be butchered as he has, he looks like the living dead.
Rourke has had a lower profile of late (compared to his heyday in the mid 1980’s) but he has always worked. Check out his profile on IMBD, he’s been working all along he just hasn’t had the quality projects he once had.
He’s a talented actor but he’s messed up mentally.

I haven’t seen the film but I have read that there wasn’t much to pick from at Venice. TO say he is an oscar contender at this point is a bit premature, no? Not saying he doesn’t have a chance but let’s not forget that the oscar members don’t always reward those that deserve it.

Does anybody know what happened to him? How sad. I watched a really great film of his not too long ago, ANGEL HEART, and can’t believe that he looks this now. He is a very talented, under-appreciated actor. I can’t wait to watch his new flick. It would be interesting.

Dude’s extremely talented.
Since Angel Heart he’s had a divorce, aged 25-30 years & between all that a boxing career that ended up with some reconstructive surgery. He still looks good to me, fat, skinny, clean or dirty hair. We all have bad days. Whatever anyone else thinks, I dig him.
