It looks like gifting suites – even at Oscar time – are becoming considerably less frivolous. The Haven gift suite was held in a private Beverly Hills home rather than a fancy hotel, and instead of Chanel or Rolex, they featured Hoover vacuum cleaners! “90210″ star AnnaLynne McCord seems perfectly delighted to accept a Hoover and we can’t blame her.

This cute actress has been marketed as the next big thing, thanks to her role on a somewhat popular series, but she’ll have a hard time living up to the hype. What will do her in is not her acting – it’s her secret drug problem. She’s addicted to cocaine (it keeps her thin) and it’s ruining her reputation – she’s late for appointments, moody on the set, and looks worn out. Ironically, she’s often been compared looks-wise to a slightly older beautiful actress with the same problem.

It happened in 2000: One of Whitney Houston’s alltime favorite movies has always been the tearjerker “Love Story.” She’s hoping to update and remake the move starring herself and her husband Bobby Brown as the doomed couple originally played by Ali MacGraw and Ryan O’Neal. Whitney realizes audiences might have a hard time swallowing Bobby as the wealthy and refined young man so she plans to switch the roles and have the female character from the right side of the tracks. She’s already working on a script and hopes to start filming before the end of the year. (As we all know, it didn’t work out….)

That is the tackiest thing I’ve seen all season.
The attachments arrayed on the sofa are a hoot, and the Hoover banner next to that expensive painting adds the perfect classless touch.

It is well known that stars (AnnaLynne is a star ???) are the tightest most grasping of all. The little $$ they throw to charity is just a pittance of their wealth and they just do it to see and be seen. They are mostly greedy, as evidenced by some grabbing as many goody bags as they can get.
