We came across this photo of Jesus Luz’s mother, Christiane, taking a break outside the Rio de Janiero hair salon where she works. We were ASTOUNDED by the resemblance. If Madonna’s boyfriend put on a blonde wig he could pass for his mother.

   You need to learn about genetic basics hon. It’s not surprising a child will look like its true parent. See Suri Cruise and Chris Klein or Webster Hubbell and Chelsea Clinton as examples.
   Inherited causes of variation
   Children usually look a little like their father, and a little like their mother, but they will not be identical to either of their parents. This is because they get half of their inherited features from each parent.
   Each egg cell nucleus and each sperm cell nucleus contains half of the genetic information needed for an individual. During fertilisation, the nucleus from the sperm cell joins with the nucleus in the egg cell, and a new nucleus is formed with all the genetic information needed for an individual.
   Variation in a human characteristic, as a result of inheritance from the parents, is called inherited variation. Here are some examples:
   gender
   eye colour
   hair colour
   skin colour
