That rumor about Lionel Richie pairing up with the irrepressible Bai Ling seems to be on the money. They definitely rendezvoused at Whist restaurant at the Viceroy Hotel in Santa Monica for a meal, at the very least. They arrived and left in separate cars, implying that they want to keep their blossoming relationship under cover. According to a witness, they sat very close together in a booth, laughed and whispered in quiet voices, and at one point Lionel massaged Bai’s back. So SOMETHING is cooking here.

JAKE HOFFMAN IS CUTE WITHOUT TRYING

There’s something about Jake Hoffman that we find irresistible. Maybe the earnest look on his face. Can you believe he’s 28 already? Besides being cute, he certainly has an admirable head of hair, although we wouldn’t mind seeing him cleanshaven. Jake was snapped at a New York cafe with a friend and we’re intrigued by the hole in the back of his T-shirt. Is that deliberate?

Jaime Pressly spent an afternoon at Cravings cafe on Sunset recently, but it wasn’t one of those fun lunches. DO YOU BELIEVE THIS IS MICHAEL JACKSON’S “SECRET SON ?”

We are totally amused by this 25 year old Norwegian, Omar Bhatti, who claims to be Michael Jackson’s illegitimate son. Omer, a dancer, was noticed in the front row at Michael’s memorial service because he apparently had a long acquaintance with Michael. Here’s the absurd part: Omer’s Norwegian mother Pia Bhatti ,45, claims Omer is the result of a ONE NIGHT STAND she had with Michael! As IF! To add to the insanity, Jermaine Jackson has said with a straight face ”If Omer is his son – we won’t deny it!” (The family REALLY hopes Michael was straight) Please note that Omer DID inherit Michael’s surgically created chin cleft! Judging by his age, we’re betting Omer is one of those little boys that Michael had a close “friendship” with – before the pesky legal problems started.
