The SNL guy that everyone has a crush on, Andy Samberg, has been happily but quietly hooked up with musician and harp player Joanna Newsom for the past few years. Above, they’re walking in the West Village. Besides hosting the MTV Movie Awards in May, versatile Andy is also the voice of Brent in “Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs.”

It happened in 2000: One of Whitney Houston’s alltime favorite movies has always been the tearjerker “Love Story.” She’s hoping to update and remake the move starring herself and her husband Bobby Brown as the doomed couple originally played by Ali MacGraw and Ryan O’Neal. Whitney realizes audiences might have a hard time swallowing Bobby as the wealthy and refined young man so she plans to switch the roles and have the female character from the right side of the tracks. She’s already working on a script and hopes to start filming before the end of the year. (As we all know, it didn’t work out….)
