2003 American Idol winner Ruben Studdard, 31, was spotted at the airport – he just finished touring with David Foster and he’s on his way home to his wife Surata. The “velvet teddy bear” has been busy performing and promoting his latest CD “Love Is.”

It happened in 2000: One of Whitney Houston’s alltime favorite movies has always been the tearjerker “Love Story.” She’s hoping to update and remake the move starring herself and her husband Bobby Brown as the doomed couple originally played by Ali MacGraw and Ryan O’Neal. Whitney realizes audiences might have a hard time swallowing Bobby as the wealthy and refined young man so she plans to switch the roles and have the female character from the right side of the tracks. She’s already working on a script and hopes to start filming before the end of the year. (As we all know, it didn’t work out….)

Why doesn’t he get his stomach stapled? He is so huge and unhealthy looking! I can’t for a second imagine having him in bed with me, having any kind of sexual contact. YUCK! He needs to do something about this huge stomach of his pronto!

His poor heart must be pumping away like crazy to support all that excess weight. And when he sweats as he sings, it’s enough to make you gag. He was not the best singer in ‘03 and imho should not have won. He’s just dirty looking, and I never could see the name velvet teddy bear. PS: His wife must be mashed flat by now, unless she is a porker too.

You saw the title so why look if he disgusts you? Ruben has always been a big man. He is practicing a healthier lifestyle and it shows. He is dressed for the airport and not a fashion magazine. Apparently David Foster has no problem with his singing ability since he chose him for his tour. I’ll bet you all are some old porkers yourself.

Two years ago I was waitressing in the airport in Jax Fl and he was one of my guests. A very nice guy – not very talkative, but he tipped well.

It’s not easy to loose weight. Bariatric surgery is not a bad choice when all else has failed. I hope he considers it if that’s an option. Best of luck to him.
I lost 20 in 3 months with 20 to go by dieting and exercising. It’s good to know all those making fun of his weight are ever so perfect. Congrats.
