Melanie Griffith and Antonio Banderas and their assorted kids (mostly HERS) are in Aspen for the holidays. Antonio decided to spend some quality time with his daughter Stella, 13, so he took her shopping at, of all places, Dior! Maybe they were buying a gift for mom.

This cute actress has been marketed as the next big thing, thanks to her role on a somewhat popular series, but she’ll have a hard time living up to the hype. What will do her in is not her acting – it’s her secret drug problem. She’s addicted to cocaine (it keeps her thin) and it’s ruining her reputation – she’s late for appointments, moody on the set, and looks worn out. Ironically, she’s often been compared looks-wise to a slightly older beautiful actress with the same problem.

It happened in 2000: One of Whitney Houston’s alltime favorite movies has always been the tearjerker “Love Story.” She’s hoping to update and remake the move starring herself and her husband Bobby Brown as the doomed couple originally played by Ali MacGraw and Ryan O’Neal. Whitney realizes audiences might have a hard time swallowing Bobby as the wealthy and refined young man so she plans to switch the roles and have the female character from the right side of the tracks. She’s already working on a script and hopes to start filming before the end of the year. (As we all know, it didn’t work out….)

She’s a very darling young girl. Let’s hope she isn’t badly affected by her mother’s warped self image and abuse of alcohol and substances. Antonio always seems to have his head on straight. Good for him!

At this point in time, she seems to have daddy’s DNA working for her. However, who’s to say if & when she’ll slip. Banderas is making sure because he realizes Melanie has the worst self image he’s ever encountered. We’re all hoping this daughter doesn’t fall down that rabbit’s hole . . .
Pray for her . . .because her mother is still in one!
