Have the people at MAC cosmetics gone off their rockers? They selected Kelly and Sharon Osbourne to collaborate on a new collection to be released in June. Does anybody REALLY want to look like or take beauty advice from Kelly or Sharon? Frankly, we think RuPaul has more clout. Kelly and Sharon are so heavily photo-shopped in these pictures that they look the same age – apparently makeup was not enough.
We picked up our Oscar credentials today and stopped at the red carpet outside the Dolby Theater to observe preparations for the big event Sunday. Everything is covered in plastic! From the carpets and up the stairs to the Oscar statues, nothing is exposed to the elements. We are reporting on the Oscar arrivals for ZDF German TV and it’s going to be fun, even if it does rain. A security guard warned us NOT to touch this Oscar statue so we only caressed the plastic cover that was labeled “heavy.” Sunday we’ll find out if Bradley Cooper has the nerve to take his mother instead of his young girlfriend Suki Waterhouse to this big event.
Rihanna looked absolutely adorable as she arrived at the Lanvin show in Paris. She’d be a great addition to the front row of any show. She’s fearless when it comes to trying now looks. Here she’s wearing a grey suit and fake fur wrap with a fedora. While she’s enjoying Fashion Week, she’s also hanging out with Drake in a big way. They’ve been clubbing and canoodling all over town. Definitely a step UP from Chris Brown…

The guy who passed himself off to The Enquirer as Philip Seymour Hoffman’s “gay lover” is in a HEAP of trouble. The guys name is David Katz and he said that many publications called him on Super Bowl Sunday because Hoffman’s friend David Bar Katz, had found the actor’s body. The fake Katz, who lives in New Jersey, told the NY Post he drank a lot that day and didn’t remember everything he said! The Enquirer believed he was the real Katz and printed the gay story. (We wonder if they paid him.) After all, the guy did have the same name! Of course we know that ended in a lawsuit, apology, and settlement. But the REAL David Bar Katz is now threatening to sue the fake Katz and the imposter insists he never told anyone his name was David Bar Katz. Crazy situation.

Back in 1974, Sly (of Sly and The Family Stone) got MARRIED to his girlfriend Kathy Silva at a bizarre ceremony in New York and WE WERE THERE! To be honest we don’t remember a lot of the details. but we do recall that plenty of New York celebrities were there like Andy Warhol. It was a big deal with lots of publicity and paparazzi. The ceremony took place in Madison Square Garden, of all places, and the reception was at the Waldorf hotel Starlight Roof. Sly and Kathy were dressed in gold by Halston and all guests were urged to wear gold also. The brainy staff at Dangerous Minds dug up all kinds of information about the forgotten event and it certainly brought back memories. The video shows a bit of the ceremony plus snippets of reports from a young Geraldo Rivera! In those days, Sly kept his cocaine in pocket size film canisters – the kind you brought to the drugstore to be developed. He figured police wouldn’t open them and risk ruining the photos.
Haven’t seen CSI Miami star David Caruso for awhile – 2012 to be exact, when the show went off the air. Talk about comebacks. After Caruso hit it big on NYPD Blue in 1993 he became an insufferable diva and quit the show to become a movie star. He didn’t click on the big screen and thought his career was over until he was offered a role on CSI Miami, which lasted for ten years. We don’t know what he’s doing now, but his hair is a lot longer and we’re not crazy about the man-purse…

Unlike Alec Baldwin or Kristen Bell, Simon Cowell never complains about the paparazzi because he really enjoys being photographed. Strange, but true. He practically ASKS for it! Why else would he take an evening stroll on the boardwalk in Miami with his shirt off? He’s with his girlfriend Lauren Silverman and their newborn baby Eric. Simon and Lauren appear to be the only people wearing sunglasses at night. Hopefully, Lauren will take him shopping for some new jeans…

The more we hear about Paula Deen’s comeback, the LESS we want her to come back. Her admitted use of the “n” word caused her business world to collapse for awhile, but was the least of her crimes. Chef Anthony Bourdain called her “The most dangerous person in America.“ He went on to point out that “she revels in unholy connections with evil corporations and is PROUD of the fact that her food is BAD for you.” We happen to think a REAL chef would not promote fatty, sugar-heavy foods, knowing first hand what it does to one’s health. Paula knows first hand because she ate herself into a case of diabetes and hid it from the public. When her disease was revealed she partnered up with a drug company selling diabetes drugs. Paula hides her crimes behind that sweet southern drawl, but don’t let it fool you!
Turns out the apple DOESN’T fall far from the tree. We were around back in the days when “Growing Pains” dad Alan Thicke was considered a classic sleazy Hollywood womanizer. He cheated on the women he married and lusted after numerous beauty pageant girls. He was only average looking, but he had great hair, smooth talk, and fame, and he used it all to get what he wanted. We remember stories about his son coming across gorgeous women in various states of undress at his dad’s house. Robin Thicke grew up admiring his father’s triumphs. But Robin, 36, had the same girlfriend, Paula Patton, for 12 years before he married her in 2005. Was he rebelling against his father’s tumultuous love life? We wondered – did he not inherit the cheating gene? Looks like the gene showed up late. It appears Robin has been too loose with his affections and attentions and Paula wants out. That’s why she called off their marriage.

It’s Melanie Griffith walking out of a medical building in Beverly Hills. Dressed in black from head to toe, she definitely looks hot and makes one wonder if she just had a little “tweaking” done. No doubt she’s enjoying the success her daughter Dakota Johnson, who’s filming “Fifty Shades of Grey” in Canada.
