TAYLOR SWIFT OWES A LOT TO HER PARENTS

Taylor Swift is fond of showing her family the joys of New York City, where she lives now. She took her handsome younger brother Austin and her parents Andrea and Scott out to lunch at Locanda Verde restaurant with plenty of window shopping on the way. Taylor’s parents had so much faith in their daughter’s talent that they moved the family from Pennsylvania to Nashville when she was only 14 to initiate her career. And Taylor has never stopped thanking them for that.

SETH ROGEN CAN’T BELIEVE WHAT HE STARTED

Suddenly, Seth Rogen has nothing to do. He had a breakneck schedule planned promoting his comic movie The Interview, but when Sony was cyber attacked, they pulled it out of theaters. Seth pondered the REASON North Korea reacted so violently to the movie. “Maybe they figured it could have been smuggled into the country and caused a revolution. OR it could have started a nuclear war. Who knows?” Sony has yet to decide what to do with the movie and today North Korea ‘s limited internet suffered an outage, but the US denies responsibility. Seth continues to be amazed by every deveopment. (Above, Seth found time to relax on Malibu Beach with his wife Lauren Miller.)

LADY GAGA DRESSES OLDER THAN SHE IS

Where the heck is Lady Gaga going dressed up like a society matron from the upper east side? She’s wearing some kind of black fur coat, pearls, and a crocodile handbag. Her dog Asia is wearing pearls to match and pink nail polish. Maybe she’s rushing off to meet Tony Bennett for lunch…

JOE COCKER GOT A LITTLE HELP FROM HIS FRIENDS

joecocker_woodstock_003cut

Saying goodbye to Joe Cocker isn’t easy – we didn’t realize how much we’d miss him. Back in the early 70’s he spent a lot of time in Los Angeles and performed on Sunset Strip. We’d never seen ANYTHING like him. Onstage he looked like something the cat dragged in – he was dripping in sweat, his hair stuck out in all directions, his clothes were dirty and rumpled, and he could barely keep his balance. He was always in danger of falling off the stage. Drugs and alcohol were destroying him but he still sounded magnificent. His spastic twitching only added to the horror and glory. Actually, it’s surprising he lived as long as he did, and it’s nice that he continued to perform until lung cancer got him at 70.
