TOM HANKS RIDES THE NEW YORK SUBWAY ANONYMOUSLY

This photo of Tom Hanks may LOOK like a scene from a movie, but it’s not. We’re told Tom rode the Manhattan subway downtown hoping he wouldn’t be noticed, but someone did recognize him. Hanks recently finished filming St James Place in New York – he played a lawyer recruited by the CIA during the cold war to help rescue a pilot detained in Russia. It was directed by his best buddy Steven Spielberg.

JENNIFER GARNER KNOWS HOW TO HAVE A GOOD TIME

We always suspected that Jennifer Garner was a real, down to earth person and she proved it at a Clippers game. Jen treated herself and her kids and kids friends to pizza during the game. She got caught taking a big bite with considerable enthusiasm and gusto – this is something you will probably never see Gwyneth Paltrow doing. We always thought Ben Affleck got lucky when he married Jennifer.

Miley Cyrus and Patrick Schwarzenegger just got back from a sexy romantic vacation in Hawaii and they are still going strong. What they have in common is fame and a love of partying, and that seems to be enough for the happy pair. Miley and Patrick both like to work out in the gym and they hooked up for lunch at Hugo’s vegetarian – oriented restaurant in Sherman Oaks.

CHARLES PHOENIX WOULD WALK A MILE FOR AN ICE CREAM CLOWN

Our adorable friend Charles Phoenix loves California, Americana, and especially anything vintage, as much as we do. He is definitely an authority on kitsch pop culture. Once he even wowed a Hollywood crowd by demonstrating how to make Ambrosia at a party at our own house! When he’s not hosting his amazing “tours,” or presenting slide shows, he’s discovering new places we should all know about. Above, Charles introduces us to Gunther’s Ice Cream Parlor in Sacramento, California (since 1949) and their famous Ice Cream Clown Cones.
