A WHOLE NEW JADA PINKETT- SMITH

Whoa. Jada Pinkett-Smith, 44, is a woman of many personalities, but this is the FIRST time we’ve seen her looking ultra-sophisticated and totally appropriate at the Guy Laroche runway show during Paris Fashion Week. She’s only 5 feet tall but looks sleek and dramatic in her calf length dress. Often Jada dresses wilder than her teenage kids Willow and Jaden. She has her own band, Wicked Wisdom, described as “nu metal,” and she favors black leather onstage. Remember when she and her husband Will Smith invested money in a Scientology based school in Calabasas? Bad investment. They couldn’t find enough teachers dedicated to Scientology and it closed. Jada and Will insist they are NOT Scientologists.

MTV Norman Korpi OvarianCancer Caucus Puck Real World

REAL WORLD STARS DID SOMETHING WORTHWHILE!

Two of the most memorable MTV Real World alumni, inventor/artist Norman Korpi (Real World New York) and Puck (David Rainey the bike messenger– Real World San Francisco ) turned up on Capitol Hill to support their buddy, Wisconsin congressman Sean Duffy (Real World Boston.) Imagine that – a Real World star is now in politics! Duffy launched the Ovarian Cancer Caucus in honor of their MTV costar Diem Brown who died from the disease last year. Duffy gathered his MTV friends to help promote the cause. Naturally the talkative Puck had a lot to say- he mentioned that he now makes a living selling his sperm to lesbians in Los Angeles, and claims to have 7 children so far! Oh, and he was so impressed with Washington DC that he wants to run for office!

Cynthia Nixon’s post- “Sex & the City” fashion is nothing to rave about. The actress, 49, is wearing a no-frills grey and black outfit to run errands in New York. Her character Miranda the lawyer on the series had a LOT more style and clout. Meanwhile, Cynthia’s wife of three years, Christine Marinoni, took her four year old lookalike son Max to school.

VICTORIA BECKHAM: WHO WALKS AROUND NYC WITHOUT A PURSE?

This photo of Victoria Beckham aroused our curiosity. She’s seen arriving at The Pierre Hotel in New York for an obviously dressy event. (We like the fashionable length of her black dress) But many questions come to mind. She’s NOT carrying a purse! Does she walk around without a credit card or lipstick? Not to mention her phone. Does she have a bodyguard carrying her bag? Why would she WANT a bodyguard to tote her purse around? She’s not on a red carpet. The rich ARE different.

GISELE BUNDCHEN: EVEN RICH PEOPLE TAKE CENTERPIECES HOME

Looking model perfect, Gisele Bundchen was honored at a NY gala for her environmental achievements. At the conclusion of the event she didn’t hesitate to claim the flower arrangement centerpiece on the table for herself and schlep it home. It turns out the fastest moving guests grabbed all the fragrant centerpieces so no flowers were wasted. Makes sense considering the purpose of the event.

Jackie Collins Suicide

JACKIE COLLINS: PHYSICIAN ASSISTED SUICIDE?

Jackie Collins did the world a favor by talking about why she SHOULD have gotten regular mammograms because it might have saved her life. She talked about her cancer for the first time in her big interview with People magazine and died five days later. A coincidence? We think not. Jackie had just returned from London where she appeared on TV and told her sister Joan about her disease. Usually people in the last weeks of terminal illness are in NO condition to travel or appear on TV. We think Jackie had everything carefully timed. When she started feeling awful, instead of taking to her bed, she chose to end her own life. Gracefully. She avoided weeks or months of pain and anguish for her family. Jackie is our hero. It’s too bad that physician assisted suicide is not yet legal in California because this news cannot be publicized. We need to speed up the legal process and make this choice available for all Californians. It’s the civilized way to die.

LIFE GOES ON FOR KALEY CUOCO DESPITE DIVORCE

Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco, 29, is just fine after splitting with her husband of two years, tennis pro Ryan Sweeting. She’s not moping at home because she still has plenty of dog love. Kaley took her beloved pup Ruby for a run in the park just like she always does. She watched with amusement as Ruby got acquainted with other dogs at the park. Kaley loves to ride and she also has a new horse in her life, so her four legged pals are keeping her busy.

Steve Martin (winner of this year’s AFI Life Achievement Award) was seen out and about in New York with his wife Anne Stringfield and their almost three year old daughter- whose name is still UNKNOWN! Martin’s relationship and marriage to Anne was kept under wraps at the time – they’ve been married for 8 years now. Despite Martin’s public appearances and performances, he has managed to keep his daughter’s name a secret! After she was born, he joked about naming her “Conquistador” but never gave up her real name. She’s barely visible next to Anne in this photo.

WHAT HAPPENED TO GWEN STEFANI?

We didn’t recognize Gwen Stefani in this photo taken this week at a presentation of her Harajuku children’s collection for 2015. It just doesn’t LOOK like our Gwen – she seems thin and for once we don’t like what she’s wearing. Sometimes weight loss goes with divorce. Marriage isn’t her only disappointment. Her fabulous L.A.M.B. clothing collection for women has ceased to exist! It cannot be found anywhere. She still sells shoes and some accessories, but there’s no explanation for the near collapse of her fashion empire.

MARIAH CAREY AND JAMES PACKER: DO THEY BELONG TOGETHER?

Wow. This is a rare photo of Mariah Carey out for the evening and NOT holding on to one or two men to keep her from tripping in her stilettos. Maybe this photo is telling us something about her relationship with billionaire James Packer. The couple was photographed at Nobu in NYC and Maria looks giddy as a schoolgirl – she probably has a big crush on him. Packer seems to be paying more attention to the paparazzi than he is to Mariah (she could fall on her face!) Packer’s “crush” on Mariah might be wearing off – she IS hard to please and self-centered in her private life. He’s probably enjoys the publicity he’s getting now, but we predict he will tire of her self-indulgence. Being with Mariah can be hard work.
