TOM HANKS IS PERFECTLY CAST AS CAPTAIN SULLY SULLENBERGER
Clint Eastwood loves a hero, (and an occasional heroine) so it makes perfect sense that HE would develop the story of Sully Sullenberger, the courageous airline pilot who saved 155 people with his perfect crash landing on the Hudson River. In 2009, Captain Sullenberger’s flight was interrupted by a flock of geese caught in the engines and after he carefully guided the plane into the water, he made sure every passenger was safely removed. Sully was a national hero and his modesty made him even more appealing. Who could better play that role than nice guy Tom Hanks? Perfect casting.
