When Miley Cyrus goes clubbing in New York, she wants plenty of attention and it’s impossible to ignore her. The orange jumpsuit covered a miniscule black strappy outfit but it was easy to slip off. Interesting that Brad Pitt has finally mustered up the courage to come out of the religion closet and declare himself an atheist. This is a HUGE deal – comparable to an actor coming out of the closet as gay! He’s been dodging the issue for YEARS, calling himself “agnostic” and “non-religious” because many people in America (his fans) are horrified that someone might not believe there’s a man in the sky making things happen. They suspect that an atheist has no moral values! (Despite the fact that there are almost no atheists in prison!) Nice guy Brad is the perfect poster boy for atheism. He’s been spending a lot of time in England where most people are not religious, and perhaps that boosted his courage. We’re glad he did it.

It was pointed out that Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence has grown up and become too sophisticated to be believable as Katniss in the latest Hunger Games movie, but it’s topped the boxoffice for two weeks so far. She’s 25 now and Forbes says she’s the highest paid actress in the world. We were surpised by this recent photo – she looks like an established Movie Star, not the occasionally awkward girl she used to be.

We are obviously among the few moviegoers who were not particularly impressed with Eddie Redmayne’s performance in The Danish Girl. The movie itself, set in Copenhagen in the 1920’s, is quite lush and beautiful to look at – costumes and locations are exquisitely photographed. Alicia Vikander, who plays Redmayne’s character’s artistic wife is delightful. Eddie’s character was enchanted with women’s apparel and this supports our theory that fashion plays a very large part in a man’s desire to become female. It’s all about the lipstick and silk undies. Anyway, Eddie plays the trans character in female attire as geeky, simpering, and coy. Is THAT what he thinks women are like? Insulting. Fortunately, the female characters in the movie were powerful and smart, so it’s not a total loss.
If this photo doesn’t get you in the mood for Christmas, nothing will. It’s sweet that Liev Schreiber and his wife Naomi Watts go out of their way to do so many ordinary things with their children. Maybe that’s partly because they live in New York instead of in a mansion behind a big gate in Beverly Hills. They are obviously successful parents who want their kids to grow up the way they did – enjoying normal activities.

Justin Bieber spent Black Friday running errands in this peculiar get-up. It’s a bit chilly for white shorts, but he kept the top half of his body warm. It could have been a good disguise because he’s so covered up, but he ended up drawing attention to himself.

Mickey Rourke’s flight landed at LAX and he was met with a wheelchair. He’s wearing a jacket with an enormous hood to hide his face. What’s going on? He was pushed all the way through the terminal to his ride outside with his hood covering his face. Was he injured in a fight or something? Did he have more plastic surgery? Hair transplants? Why isn’t he walking? Maybe he thought he’d walk into a wall with his face covered. Anyway, he returned in time for turkey day.

In the wake of Charlie Sheen’s disastrous situation, Robert Downey Jr, 50, has a LOT to be thankful for on this holiday. Downey’s career is flourishing – he’s been the highest paid actor in Hollywood for three years straight. But it wasn’t so long ago that he was such a hopeless addict that he made Charlie look like an amateur. Remember when Robert woke up in the WRONG Malibu house? We recall him escaping from yet another rehab and hitchhiking in Venice in his pajamas. He survived multiple rehabilitation centers and STATE PRISON. But through it all, Robert was a likeable guy and everyone hoped for the best. Robert credits his recovery success to marrying the right woman – not something likely to happen to Charlie.(Above, Downey arrived at the Jimmy Kimmel show with considerable fanfare)

Brad Pitt appears to be a casual guy but few people know that he’s really interested in fashion and CARES about what he wears. As soon as he hit it big in Hollywood and started working steadily, he acquired a stylist to shop for him. He doesn’t have the time or inclination to shop for himself, but he knows what he wants. He tells his personal shopper what to look for and she brings him a large selection of things he asks for as well as suggestions of her own. That’s why he never looks like a slob.
