ELIZABETH BANKS: THE NEW BOSLEY IN CHARLIE’S ANGELS

Elizabeth Banks, 44, is a feminist who puts her money where her mouth is. She’s producing, directing and co-wrote the script for – of all things – another Charlie’s Angels movie. (Banks has a successful production company with her husband) We suspect her point of view will be QUITE different from her male predecessors. The updated Charles Townsend Agency will now be a tech savvy security and intelligence service with offices around the world. Kristen Stewart plays one “angel” – were betting she’s the smart no-nonsense Kate Jackson type. The other two are beautiful model-types: Naomi Scott and Ella Balinska.

So it wasn’t really “distance” that split up Ben Affleck, 46, and his girlfriend Lindsay Shookus, 38. We’re guessing Lindsay diplomatically used the excuse that they lived on different coasts to explain their sudden breakup – she couldn’t very well admit that Ben’s booze relapse was the real reason. Observers assumed that Ben dumped Lindsay for the Playboy model he’s been seen with – but it appears that Lindsay had enough of his drinking. Lindsay is a successful and smart SNL producer and she doesn’t have to put up with his nonsense. The real hero in this scenario is Ben’s long-suffering ex-wife Jennifer Garner – SHE recognized his problem and organized Ben’s trip to rehab. He’ll never find another woman like her…

LARRY KING’S STRAPPING SONS: DADDY’S RICH AND MOM’S GOODLOOKING

It’s a good thing Larry King, 84, has such an attractive wife (Shawn, 58) because his sons inherited a lot of her good looks. Shawn is Larry’s seventh wife and despite a few bumps in the road, they’ve managed to stay married since 1997. Incredibly, BOTH brothers (Cannon, 20, on the left, and Chance, 21, right) are amazing baseball players and they were both drafted into major league baseball by the White Socks while in high school. To their credit, they both passed up the opportunity and chose to go to college instead.

Iggy Azalea is trying out a brand new lower key look – and it’s working! She turned up at an MTV after-party with no traces of spandex or hair extensions. She just looks like a naturally pretty girl. We are fascinated by all the attention her “blaccent” gets. She’s a white Australian born girl with a very genuine sounding black accent – as if she grew up in The Bronx. Aretha Franklin Fashion Madonna MTV Video Music Awards

FORGET MADONNA’S MTV SPEECH – WHAT ABOUT THAT CRAZY OUTFIT!!

We’ve heard PLENTY about Madonna’s appearance on the MTV Video Awards – viewers were puzzled by her pointless rambling about an audition early in her career when she sang an Aretha Franklin song and was convinced that it changed the course of her life. (?) Madonna was called out for her lousy Aretha Franklin “tribute” but she insists she was only on the show to present the award for Video of the Year and was encouraged to reminisce about Aretha and it was NOT a tribute. With all this fuss about her speech, Madonna’s crazy Arabic outfit was almost forgotten. WHY she was dressed in a monumentally unflattering big black wool dress with mountains of jewelry and a headband with protrusions is the REAL mystery. Madonna was recently in Marrakech, so maybe she went shopping on a Berber neighborhood. Whatever- she looked absurd.

Amandla Stenberg, in the leather skirt, is the adorable girl you remember from The Hunger Games and the romantic drama Everything, Everything. She’s only 19, but she’s an accomplished activist and a feminist, and recently came out as gay “I realized I have a romantic love for women.” Amandla and her girlfriend, singer-songwriter Princess King (born Mikaela Straus), also 19, attended the MTV Video Awards in New York. Amandla laughingly describes her own style as “seventies news anchor meets Malibu widow.”
