IS THE MET GALA SPIRALING OUT OF CONTROL?
Are we crazy or is the Met Gala turning into a vulgar display of self-indulgence? Each costume seems to be bigger, longer, more elaborate and MORE EXPENSIVE ! How LONG can a train be? How many exquisite feathers can be hand sewn onto a gown? If you attempt to calculate the cost of most decadent gowns, the result is financially STAGGERING. Besides being difficult to manage up the stairway entrance to the Met, how awkward must these get-ups be while trying to socialize at the party? Ezra Miller had a clever idea – he held an amazing mask of his own face, but even HE had a mile long train. Model Cara Delevingne, above, had fun without screaming for attention – she painted stripes on her legs to match her dress.
