LA TOYA JACKSON’S VERSION OF UNDERCOVER

La Toya Jackson, 63, knows how to get attention in Beverly Hills – wear a hat and sunglasses! She’s looking good while shopping the after-Christmas sales. Whenever she needs extra cash, LaToya, like Pamela Anderson, does another reality show. In 2018, she appeared on the Food Network’s Worst Cooks in America and WON. In 2019, she was The Alien on The Masked Singer and supposedly negotiated a nice salary. She owed a real estate firm over $324,000 for unpaid rent on her office, so that came in handy. She’s shopping alone these days – her “engagement” to her manager Jeffre Phillips was called off, but they’re still friends.

RHEA DURHAM DOESN’T KNOW WHAT ALMOST HIT HER

The Wahlberg family is in Barbados for the holidays and Mark’s wife Rhea Durham feels right at home on the beach because she grew up in Florida. Mark and his model wife celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary this summer and they have four kids together. Rhea put her own career on hold, but is SO supportive of her husband’s career that she created a stir a few years ago when she made a complaint online to People magazine. They had just named Chris Hemsworth Sexiest Man Alive, and she thought Mark should have won! We love this photo because a tiny bird (hummingbird?) flew by just as the paparazzi clicked (it’s right at Rhea’s cleavage and she seems oblivious)

WARNING: EMILY RATAJKOWSKI AND HUSBAND ARE NOW RENTING IN CALIFORNIA!

Emily Ratajkowski and her husband Sebastian Bear-McCord are in New York with their dog Colombo, and grabbed some New York pizza they’ve been missing since they moved to Echo Park in LA. They finally vacated the Manhattan loft they didn’t pay rent on for two years and the landlord sued them for $250,000 for damages. Sebastian was one of the producers of Adam Sandler’s successful film Uncut Gems, so it looks like the landlord might finally get his money.

Madonna has successfully traded in her last boytoy for a younger model. (She and Mariah Carey share a weakness for athletic dancers.) For the past year Madonna has been quietly keeping company with her dancer Ahlamalik Williams, 25, and now she’s flaunting him in public. They arrived in London to celebrate New Year’s Eve with Madonna’s kids Lourdes, David, and the twins Esther and Stella (serious Kabbalah names, right?) Ahlamalik is already picking up Madonna’s habits – they’re both wearing sunglasses indoors in London in the winter.

Everybody knows how happy Gwen Stefani is these days – five years ago she was heartbroken and filed for divorce after Gavin Rossdale cheated on her. Her current boyfriend Blake Shelton pulled her out of that low point and these days she’s in love again and on top of the world. As for Gavin, he’s not doing badly either. For the past year Gavin, 54, has been seeing Russian born Instagram model and aspiring actress, Natalie Golba, 28. She also happens to be a private chef, so Gavin has the best of both worlds…

BEARDS: THE MALE VERSION OF SWEATPANTS?

The opinionated Karl Lagerfeld left behind many quotes – one of our favorites is “Sweatpants are a sign of defeat” – implying that people who wear sweatpants have given up. It’s quite possible that nice looking men who aren’t as young as they used to be GROW GREY BEARDS for the same reason! Kurt Russell is probably still an attractive man, but it’s easier to look like Santa Claus than shave and get haircuts. Poor Goldie…

Allee Willis Fabian Thanks for the Memories

WE WILL NEVER FORGET ALLEE WILLIS

We had a heartbreaking Christmas eve – our longtime friend, songwriter and kitsch aficionado Allee Willis died suddenly of a heart attack. Allee was much more than a songwriter – her whimsical valley home was loaded with collectibles she found at the Rose Bowl flea market – where we met in the 80’s. She gave amazing theme parties, the likes of which will probably never be seen again. At one all-girl pajama party (we were waited on by scantily clad men serving drinks and retro food) she had a contest – the girl who told the best or funniest story about a youthful romance would win a date with 60’s heartthrob FABIAN! HE was there in person, still looking good! My story was in the lead when Cassandra “Elvira” Peterson topped it with her description of her date with Elvis! SHE won the date with Fabian (a waste – she was married at the time) and we were justifiably disappointed. But WHAT a fun party! We will miss Allee forever…

TIME FLIES: KATE HUDSON AND HER SON RYDER

It’s the end of the year – time for a little reminiscing. We remember when Kate Hudson had her first child Ryder – with her first husband musician Chris Robinson. When Ryder was a toddler Kate used to push him all over New York in a stroller and we made fun of her because he was perfectly capable of walking, and in fact growing too lanky for the stroller. We thought he should WALK, not be pushed around on wheels. She was not happy and many of her young mother fans complained to me that a stroller was an easy way to move a child around. We still hate strollers, especially on crowded sidewalks and stores, but Ryder is now 16 and taller than his mom. They are such good friends that Kate says she looks forward to going to bars with him when he’s old enough, because he’s “so much fun.” Today they shopped together in Aspen.

Celebrities love winter in Aspen, partly because they can walk around all bundled up for the cold, and are rarely recognized. Coldplay singer Chris Martin took his daughter Apple (her mom is Gwyneth Paltrow) and his girlfriend Dakota Johnson shopping for Christmas, and they were pretty much ignored by other shoppers. Apple is fifteen and typically self-conscious – she gets upset when Gwyneth posts pictures of her without asking. Remember when Apple was born and her unusual name created a sensation? Now it seems perfectly normal! Lucky girl inherited the best traits from both parents…
