On Tuesday night Summer Phoenix (Joaquin’s sister) opened her new shop “Some Odd Rubies” on Hillhurst Avenue in Los Feliz and the Hollywood trendoids turned up en masse. All the clothes are made from recycled vintage garments – and they’re one of a kind and surprisingly well priced. Joaquin was busy filming somewhere, but his new best friend Eva Mendes showed up. (Hmmm) Summer is married to Casey Affleck and when her brother in law Ben turned up (in rumpled khakis and plain white shirt ) the party accelerated. Jenny Shimizu and her posse of cute motorcycle girls parked outside and Jenny told me she no longer drinks and she’s pitching a TV series on the subject of recovery. Jon Abrahams, the cute DJ on Ellen, told me that Ellen Degeneres is “just as much fun on and off camera” and he loves working for her. No complaints there.
Jenny may not be drinking but she sure talks shit like a tweeker.
