“E” personality Debbie Matenopoulos her husband Jay Faires are having a horrible divorce (they HATE each other) and Debbie insisted they put their 1920’s castle “Wolf’s Lair “ up for sale for 7.5 million in 2008. Not surprisingly, it didn’t sell. It just sold for 3.9 million in CASH to a surpising buyer: “geeky” musician Moby. Moby has lived modestly in a one bedroom apartment in Little Italy for many years so his friends were shocked. The castle is a compound on three acres, 8 beds, 6 baths, 5400 square feet, a heart shaped pool, plus a guest house designed by John Lautner. Now vegeterian Moby will be living like royalty in the Hollywood Hills.

I can’t believe that Debbie M. rated a castle like that! Let alone anyone rich enough to afford one would marry her…she’s a nobody and irritating as hell. Looks to be a huge gold-digger as well. Men of Hollywood: Pay attention if you see her coming and RUN the other way!!
Good for Moby! At least it was a “steal”… I wouldn’t be surprised if he doesn’t live the rest of his life at Wolf’s Lair.

I had to think for a moment who this Debbie was, then I remembered she the one that tries to act so silly on the countdown. I don’t get her and never will. I remember he kicked her ass to the curb.
Moby is a hack whose mood muzak has sold well to an undiscriminating public. He’s crap in every way. Image, doesn’t sing or if he does it’s wimpy and his songs aren’t hits. They’re background music for sex. Would never spend a dime on him.
Human greed always wins in the end. To Moby’s credit at least he paid in CASH instead of digging a huge debt hole for himself like Nic Cage and a host of other morons. Pay in cash fools and live within your means. I will never understand why people who make millions take out loans up the wazoo.
Moby lived in a ginormous penthouse in the El Dorado on Central Park West that he sold for millions. He also is partners with other real estate developers and makes a mint that way:

Am I the only person who hates these “snap shots”? You can’t move your cursor anywhere that they don’t pop up and block what you are trying to read.

I am just glad to see that a piece of Hollywood history still exists, and relieved to not have to look at a picture of some modern monstrosity. It is better off in Moby’s hands – unlike most celebs, he has some intelligence and a sense of aesthetics.
Damn, that is one nice house.
