AFTER SHE LOST, SUSAN BOYLE CHECKED INTO A MENTAL CLINIC

Poor Susan Boyle. According to British papers, the day after she lost on Britain’s Got Talent to the Diversity dance group, the overnight sensation had an “emotional breakdown” and landed in a mental hospital. She was reportedly “acting strange” at her hotel and police were called. The police notified paramedics and Susan, 48, was taken to a clinic suffering from “exhaustion.” Since she became an internet sensation she’s been bombarded with record deals and performance offers – what she really wants to do is go back to her old simple life in Scotland. It’s been suggested that it’s a GOOD thing she lost because the pressure would have escalated. She still stands to earn millions IF she can fulfill offers.

  1. Actually I feel sorry for her. She was interested in singing, but I doubt she had any idea what it entails. Hopefully she will be able to go back to her life as she wishes.

  2. I really feel bad for Susan coming from a small community that knows her personally and to have the media take over its sad.

  3. I’ve no doubt she was suffering from exhaustion. But to infer she checked into a mental clinic without a shred of evidence (which is precisely what the British press doesn’t have) is not fair.
What _is_ provable was that she was seen by her private GP. So let’s not put even more stress on the poor girl by repeating stuff that flat isn’t true.

  4. That is a total tabloid headline. The poor woman is exhausted, that’s all. No need to make it look like she’s having a nervous breakdown because she lost. It’s headlines like this that make stars hate the media. I’d expect more of you, Janet. As you know, it’s hard enough for women to succeed.

  5. I’m sure a “STRAITJACKET” will be helpful in this situation, folks!!

  6. She just couldn’t handle the pressure. Coming from a small town, living a rather simple sheltered life and all this sudden stardom. He has no one to go there with her, she was all alone and cracked up.
    Get better Susan

  7. Gerard, maybe you can get your straitjacket from the front hall closet, where you keep it handy for yourself, and lend it to Susan. That would be so nice of you!

  8. When you are a spinster like Susan for decades, an extreme change in her life can crush you. She’ll get better, but the papps will be hanging around her house for a while, so maybe she should move somewhere else for 3 months after she gets checked out mentally.

  9. Look she is a little off, because she had brain damage as an infant. She most likely is retarded emotionally, and has the mental abilities of a 10 year old. Her personality is annoying and tempermental and she has alienated people from childhood. Look at the video of her parents 50th year anniversary and the exasperated expressions of her family. This is the real reason that she has not become a star, it is not her looks.

  10. This was a terrible thing those producers did. The whole thing was a set-up. Do people truly believe a dance group beat her out? Come on. Just like the phony “American Idol” results, this was fixed. “American Idol” was fixed because they could not have a flamboyantly gay winner. This is so sad and I feel very bad for Susan Boyle.

  11. I’m curious how the poster above knows she has brain damage and is emotionally impaired. I guess I must have missed that information. If that’s the case, how on earth did she ever qualify to be on the show in the first place? Don’t they screen these people?

  12. The brain damage occured during birth, due to a lack of oxygen….it has been published by many sources. They called her simple Susie in school and teased her. There are many videos on YouTube that show friends and family commenting on her. I get the impression that she is a wearisome person that many of the adults tolerated and the kids mocked (also documented). I too find it appalling that it has come to this.
