“Lovelace,” the biography of Linda Lovelace, who starred in the x-rated movie “Deep Throat,” is filming in LA, and stars Amanda Seyfried and Peter Sarsgaard really have that 70’s vibe. Amanda is wearing a high waisted denim skirt and Peter’s in polyester. Men did look awful in those days! It’s odd to see people in 70’s fashions with cell phones in hand. Sharon Stone, Demi Moore, Hank Azaria, and Eric Roberts are also in the cast.

Amanda’s version of her breasts are at about waist high. Dont think LL’s hung quite that low.
First you say men looked bad in the ’70s, then you have a photo of Peter Frampton looking hot in the ’70s. I’ll go with the authentic photo evidence of whether men looked good in the ’70s.
Lindsay Lohan seriously screwed up by getting fired from this film! I’m also thinking that the person that initially hired her for this film must have had a lot more faith than most in her!
Linda Susan Boreman (Linda Lovelace) seemed to have changed her life for the better after leaving porn. I can’t help but feel sad for her children who have deal with that legacy.
She died from injuries that she sustained in a 2002 car accident in Colorado. She was 53.
Hi Walt…I agree with you that the legacy she left is not very good, especially for her kids. Too bad the female celebrities don’t think of their kids when they’re doing similar things now days. Pamela Anderson’s boys come to mind, for one.

I wonder if most of the porn stars from that time are dead due to drugs, disease, or suicide.
Hi Miss Kitty 🙂 Exactly. Pam Anderson is an excellent example. I can’t help but wonder what their views are about women. I am sure the friends of her teenage sons give them a greatr deal of ribbing.
I’m quite sure that Ms. Lovelace was a victim of sexual abuse, as is probably 99% of all other porn actresses! Sad, but true.

This is a terrific play about the making of Deep Throat — ran off-Broadway and is now set to open in LA this spring… perfect timing because it’s also the 40th anniversary of the film’s release. The script is terrific… details the ambiguity of Lovelace well… depending on who she was talking to, sometimes she said doing porn was great, and sometimes she said it was abuse… Hope you’ll see the play, Janet!

seyfried has the promising career Lohan USED to have. They both starred in “Mean Girls” and Lohan was the star.
The white turtleneck might be vintage, but the other clothing isn’t — the denim skirts were non-pleated, more A-line, usually more faded; and the polyester pants and that style of shirt were worn tighter, especially in the crotch (I’m not making this up, check 70s album covers for a quick survey)
