ANNE HATHAWAY IS WATCHING HER BOYFRIEND'S LIFE UNRAVEL – FROM A DISTANCE

Anne Hathaway’s handlers are SO glad they talked her into separating from her con artist boyfriend Raffaello Follieri - before the chips started to fall. According to the NY Post, Follieri is bringing down the larcenous people he did his funny business with – including a few priests. Follieri is accused of paying off highranking Catholic clergymen who pretended to be his business associates and helped him defraud investors in real estate schemes. Cardinals and monsignors are running for cover! The question is: will any of this diminish Anne deep feelings for Raffaello? People who say they know Raffaello are starting to claim Anne snitched on him, but we doubt that very much.

   Oh,she’s enjoying all this in a perverse sort of way. It’s putting her name in the limelight, whereas before not too many knew who she was. Plus, she knew for about a year or two that he was a con, but still stuck with him. C’mon, get real. She may very well like the ladies, too and all this was a cover-up. Gollyweird is known for things like this.

   A pal of jailed wheeler-dealer Raffaello Follieri suspects the starlet spoke with the FBI shortly before they arrested her ex for an alleged $6 million con job. “It makes sense,” the friend said. “She’s referred to as his former girlfriend in the indictment even though her spokesman never confirmed they broke up.” Hathaway, who is not identified by name in the criminal complaint, split with Follieri shortly before his arrest last week. He is charged with posing as an agent of the Vatican to fleece investors out of millions. “I think that in return for her cooperation, the feds held off on arresting Follieri until she was out of the country,” the friend said.”

   Interestingly, the media seem to have sidestepped the fact that Follieri gave $400,000 to Bill Clinton’s chief aide, in exchange for introductions to Clinton associates.
   The aide now claims that he passed the 400-grand “on to other people.”
   Just a few weeks ago, the Wall Street Journal reported that Hillary Clinton’s candidacy for VP was dead in the water, due to unsavory aspects of Bill’s finances and business deals.

   Her sexuality (lesbian) is beside the point.
   This relationship was based upon con-man intrigue and keeping up appearances. It was MUTUALLY BENEFICIAL.
   She helped to spend his dirty money — his Manhattan rent alone was $37,000 per month. He got to squire around (and provide a beard for) an up-and-coming actress who looked like a class act.
   Her “people” must be scrambling to assess the (potential) damage to her image.

    If she hasn’t already done so, Anne Hathaway needs to hire a good criminal defense attorney.
    She should also begin practicing the phrase, “I had no idea…”
    If she benefitted materially from “Ralph Foley’s” criminality, she will have to profess ignorance as to the source and circumstances of his finances.
    This all assumes that she is not cooperating with investigators, as some of Ralph’s friends seem to believe; it’s more likely that Ron Burkle is the source of the information that led to the arrest.
    She could have shown more discernment in her choice of boyfriends, but it sounds like this crook spared no expense in funding a lifestyle they both enjoyed.
    If Ralph gets pissy — and believes Anne sold him out — it will be her reputation that will suffer. Everyone already knew HE was crooked. Implicating Hathaway in any way could cause serious problems for her.
