Annette Funicello has died and she represented and era of innocence that won’t be seen again. When she became a Mousketeer on The Mickey Mouse Club, she was an immediate hit and got ten times the fan mail of other kids on the show. Eventually, Annette graduated to the teenage Beach Party movies and Walt Disney asked her NOT to wear bikinis. She never did. Annette adored Walt and always had good things to say about him. She’s been suffering with MS for the last twenty years and out of the limelight, but we will miss her.

I too miss those more innocent times. She really suffered, I’m glad that is over for her.
