It’s always exciting when a fashion icon like Annie Lennox (of the Eurythmics) walks into your store. Annie popped into Crystalarium on Melrose in West Hollywood – it’s where quirky celebs like Nicolas Cage stock up on crystals. Annie fell in love with an electronic art work depicting important women in history morphing one into the next. Annie, a huge feminist and social activist, HAD to have the piece, which she bought and carried out of the store.

I’ve always thought Lennox’s beauty was shamelessly overlooked. The girls are beauties like their mom. Hope at least one of them inherited her angelic vocal talent. 🙂
Annie Lennox was a favorite back in the 80’s with a powerful voice & that androgynous look. It’s nice to see she didn’t go the plastic surgery route & has aged very well. Her daughters are beautiful. God bless.

According to Wiki, Annie was married to a German dude for a year who was a devout Hare Krishna so that ended. Then an Israeli film & record producer who is the father of her daughters. She had a stillborn son in 1988 which is painfully devastating. David Stewart who you’re thinking of, is only a band mate, they may have dated but I’m not 100% about that. None the less, she’s done plenty charity work & quite the trooper.
HIV infection rates are less than .3% of the us population. I understand why the idiots of the entertainment industry are such die hard HIV activists, but why when HIV infection is preventable? Those getting it now are engaging in behavior and acts they KNOW will get them infected yet still do so even with the knowledge of how to protect themselves. Annie is just a very disingenuous celeb.

A woman gets raped, a virgin has unprotected sex on her wedding night, a teen athlete shares a steriod needle, someone gets a tattoo at the wrong shop, a teen grows up in crack/whorehouse and is frequently sexually abused eventually seeks escape in a drug addiction that is finally conquered in adulthood, a boy is sexually abused by his priest, an innocent baby is born to a drug addict, someone got a transfusion years before HIV was figured out, someone gets an AIDS test just a little too early for an infection to show up and then has unprotected sex on his honeymoon…should I go on?
All these people have family and friends who will be impacted by their infection. Many will continue to pass on the infection knowingly or unknowingly.
Finally, remember that America is not the world. AIDS & HIV are epidemic in the poorest of African countries. Take those one million Americans with HIV and multiply them by 22! These people may have loved ones living in our own country…they may not, but that doesn’t make their lives any less significant.
So, hollywoodwhoreclub, take the “they” out of your comments. HIV is all about “us”.

I know someone who’s grandmother (yes grandmother) died of AIDS. She got it from a “gentleman friend” who used to frequent hookers.
Annie was always hot and fabulous, I’m not surprised that she has beautiful daughters.
Thank God some one out there is still fighting the fight and…Aids started in the late 70s and has killed many people..I Know including my sister Joyce Patrice Kelly and she had it from 1987 until Jan 23rd 2010 and…It only takes one person to take your life and…Many people are still slutting around and sleeping with strangers and speading the disease…!!! How frustrating and hard..Know adays to start a relationship with a person..You have to ask for a blood test to be safe….. But to help people raise money to fight this thing is wonderful and great but there are still so many nasty ass people out there who are spreading this.
Your helping the world Heal from this bad thing that has been pushed on us.. People are still getting effected by this Disease each and every day in some way…? People already know they have Aids and are attracted to some one and will not tell them they have it… But people live long with Aids and..I have friends who have it and…I love there friedship very much and to help some one who can’t afford the medication is wonderful and Mrs Annie Lennox God is going to Bless you for this..Your saving lives and giving the people that we love..’ More time with us.

HIV is mostly preventable and the gays, who have been the major carriers, have tried to shame the rest of the world into dumping $$$millions in medical research into it when other diseases are much more of a threat to the population. Send Annie and the others to Gay Island.
