ASHLEY GRAHAM: THIS IS NOT HOW WE WANT OUR DAUGHTERS TO LOOK

There’s a lot to like about plus-size model Ashley Graham, who is currently celebrating the fact that she signed a lucrative beauty contract with Revlon. Ashley is a successful size 16 model and sometimes speaks to girls at high schools about body image and acceptance. As a teen she repeated the mantra “I am beautiful” to give herself courage. She means well, but teens should be encouraged to value education and accomplishment before looks. Aspiring to be a decorative object is absurd. Oh, and Ashley might rethink her wardrobe – this tight and rather vulgar dress is not a good example for anyone.

  1. THEY ALL LOOK LIKE STREET WALKERS? Yet if you see flowy granny dresses on Christian artists you find that repugnant (which I find hysterical because last weekend at Bergdorf’s in NY they had flowy granny dresses on their mannequins).

  2. Good for her for having self esteem, but teens should consider the health risks of obesity. As far as being a decorative object, in my opinion, all models are in that category

  3. she looks beautiful…..that dress cover a lot more than some women wear..You are fat shaming Janet..shame on you

  4. Well, the girl definitely is FAT and the dress looks awful on her. Cover up, sister.
