According to US Weekly, Charlize Theron broke off her engagement to Sean Penn after two years of togetherness. Recently they had both opened up and started saying sweet things about each other in interviews. We figured it would only be a matter of time before Sean’s bad temper would do him in. His two ex-wives were charmed by him at first, but suffered through his bitter macho moods, and we feared Charlize would endure the same fate. But our girl wised up just in time! Charlize may be feeling sad now, but in the long run she and her little boy are better off without Sean.

Or… it could be a publicity ploy? Do either of them have a project that needs promoting right now? Call me cynical but this is one tactic used in Hollywood to generate interest in a project, so news of a ‘breakup’ no longer means that’s what happened.
