Andy Baldwin, last season’s Bachelor #10, has political aspirations! The athletic Bachelor cancelled his engagement to the winner Tessa Horst and moved back to Hawaii. His popularity there has soared since the show aired and the current Governor of Hawaii, Linda Lingle, is advising him to run for senator. They’re both Republicans and with Linda’s support he has an excellent chance of getting elected. He was seen at a big Republican fund-raiser on the island recently, fueling speculation. The show didn’t get him a wife, but it might get him a seat in the senate.

I live in a Navy town. All the guys laugh and say that he is just a joke–a real publicity whore. His entire medical group went off to Laos, and he called the papers to claim all the publicity. He doesn’t know what it means to be on a team. Who else in the Navy has a personal photographer, publicity agent and is trying to become a famous model or actor? He is embarrassing the Navy. Maybe he should talk to that politician from Idaho about what it is like to be a closet gay in politics.
