BEBE BUELL’S TRIUMPHANT RETURN TO THE ROXY

Bebe Buell has loads of friends in the music business and an impressive collection turned out for her rockin’ show at the Roxy last night. One of the opening performers was Antony Langdon of Spacehog fame and his former sister in law ( Bebe’s daughter) Liv Tyler, delighted in taking pictures of him onstage. Bebe’s rock history is legendary – she was a Playmate in 1974 and she “inspired” music legends from Mick Jagger to Steven Tyler. Her adventures are documented in her bestselling book “Rebel Heart.” At the Roxy, she showed she can rock with the best of them – her voice is sweet but powerful, and her cute husband Jim Wallerstein is the guitar player by her side. Her new album Sugar is available now. (Top photo: Bebe onstage and below, mother and daughter at On The Rox after-party)

Bebe Buell was friggin’ brilliant last night at The Roxy. Say what you will but the woman has talent and she can sing. She had the balls to do an entire song a cappela and did not once miss a note or the melody of the song. Her show stopper.
It was impressive. She looked elegant and she rocked.
Her daughter was yelling for her- it was pretty cool.
I have to admit I was surprised how good her show was. Her band was also pro and tight.
    A great night for sure.
    Bebe is a STAR!

I’m betting IF she was any good, in all these years, she WOULD have become a star by now. Case closed.

Bebe’s show at The Roxy was Fabulous… She garnered the attention of everyone in the house when she sang “Black Angel”, “Air Kisses For The Masses”, “Sugar” and The Vibrators hit
“Baby, Baby, Baby”. The crowd included Janet Charlton, Liv Tyler, Ginger Coyote, Rick Springfield, Billy Corgan, Pauley Perrette, Eric Erlandson, Michael Butler,Regina Russell,
Giddle Partridge, Rodney Bingenheimer, Lori Maddox and loads more…

One of the reasons why I’m really rooting for her is because unlike a lot of selfish entertainers she took several years off from her signing career to be a mother and overseer of her daughter’s career- shepherding and guiding her to super stardom. You could feel and see the love coming off of Liv as she watched her mother.
NOW its Bebe’s time and she deserves every single great thing that is happening to her.
I was floored by the performance- so much so that I cannot get the songs out of my head.
When she sang that Superstar song sans band, I even cried a little. I had to pull myself together, lol.
I’m glad I came in from the East Coast for this monumental return for Bebe. It was beautiful to watch!

Hey Skiptalk- WTF does Todd Rundgren have to do with Bebe’s music or her star quality? There is plenty of room for everyone.
Bebe Buell is one of the most engaging performers I’ve ever seen. Just proves that guys like Todd saw her specialness and latched onto it. He did spend 6 years with her I do believe? From what I’ve read he and Liv are as close as any father and daughter should be. You need to get your head out of the past and let the love shine!
I’m sure TR does not appreciate the negative energy either.
Just let it be what it is. They are TWO separate people and they both have a TON of talent in different ways.

In my opinion it is wrong to use this place to slander someone. It is equally wrong to drag anyone’s kid into the mix.
One thing this does prove though is that success is the best revenge and Bebe is getting the jealous idiots pretty riled up. It is actually amazing that anyone would waste their time being so insanely nasty if they did not care.
Jealously is a see through emotion. It is very easy to read between the lines.
These botox comments are pretty funny.
    Bebe’s face moves.
And her suit is Calvin Kline.

SO SO EASY TO TALK SH*T WHEN YOU DONT HAVE A BAND THAT SOUNDS THAT GOOD,OR ROCKS THAT HARD.I THINK EVERY SHALLOW SOUL THAT WRITES TO HURT SOMEONE BRAVE ENOUGH TO GET UP THERE AND LAY IT ON THE LINE.SHOULD LEAVE THERE CONTACT INFO SO WE CAN PUT A FACE TO THE WEAK ATTACKS.
P.S WHY DIDNT YOU WALK UP TO THE BAND@TALK SMACK?I THINK THE DRUMMER WOULD HAVE TWISTED YOUR HEAD OFF LIKE A BOTTLE CAP..GROW A PAIR..THAT BAND WAS ON FIRE..

The truth is…the songs are there…judge for yourself.
I’m betting dollars to doughnuts that if the songs were not good, they wouldn’t have put it out. People that bring Todd, or Liv into this are missing the point.
Listen to the record. It stands on it’s own. Star power or no Star power.
Cheers Bebe. Keep doing what you’re doing.

Bebe’s show was the most sensational concert I have been to in years. She is a powerhouse on stage. She has imense musical talent and the band was out of this world!
    Bebe Buell is a GODDESS!

I’m happy to see that most of those horrible hate filled comments were removed. Bebe so does not deserve that. It kind of makes her supporters comments sound funny, lol.
For every “ChiChi” there is 100 of us who love this woman inside and out.
Bebe, hang in there. What you are doing is a statement for woman everywhere- talent really does win out in the end. What you and your band are doing is ageless and the music is doing the talking. Your new album is THAT GREAT so don’t ever let that idiot from your past get to you. We all know when he attacks too so we have your back.
Don’t worry yourself over this s**t.
You are too special and far too talented and unstoppable to ever give up.
WE ARE ALL ROOTING FOR YOU and I would follow you to the ends of the earth.

What a knockout! It’s so inspiring that women like her, Marianne Faithful and Debby Harry keep it going. They’re gorgeous, talented and prove women can be outstanding at any age. Liv has a great role model mother.

To the Bebe fanatics (yes, the regulars do know that you just swooped in to try to froth us up about her), she is not doing herself any favours with her Internet rants over the years; and no amount of friend-inspired-censorship is going to alter the memory of that.

Why don’t you mention to her the idea of putting up one of the songs from the Roxy performance (I’d love to hear the a capella one) on youtube so we can see for ourselves? I couldn’t find any.

There is some iPhone video of her doing Superstar on You Tube from another recent show. I didn’t see any video cameras there but I did see lots of cameras. I think the recording rules are the Roxy are iffy. Not sure though. I’d love to have seen video from there. A memory that will last.

Wonderful and it looks like your having a wonderful time and your singing songs straight from the heart and soul and your having a beautiful time with people that care about you and want to be there for you and good luck with your career and hope it really takes off big time and take care and have a nice day.
