We wonder if the studio executives who turned DOWN the Liberace story “Behind the Candelabra” (we bet they were men) because they felt it was “too gay” are sorry now that HBO has this great looking Steven Soderbergh movie. The movie, starring Michael Douglas and Matt Damon, debuts on May 26 and chances are it will be a ratings bonanza.

here’s a little known secret …
on of our own, Mr.Strom himself, was on the short list for playing Matt Damon’s character in this fag film fest.
The casting folks told me themselves, it was neck and neck, on one hand you had Damon’s track record, acting chops and marquee value, but Strom brought a powerful, natural awareness to the role, because of his obvious familarity with the whole gay, oily servant/houseboy lifestyle thingy.
pity, I’d love to have seen him on Lee’s knee, playing the sock puppet he is, in that little outfit….

I saw “Side Effects” last week and enjoyed it very much.
This looks pretty wild & controversial. I wonder what type of crowd would be viewing this movie with you at the theater?! I would not advise one to let their straight friends know they watched this movie. Not everyone is socially liberal.

What a load of crap. People will watch to see MD looking gay- not because of any interest in Liberace. This whole thing just leaves a terrible taste in my mouth. Yuk and spew!
