BILLY IDOL IS STILL PERFORMING AND STILL GETTING HIGH
Camp Freddy at the Roxy was rockin’ Saturday night like it was 1985, thanks to Billy Idol. And like yesteryear, Billy was LOADED. According to an observer, Billy was walking unsteadily, his eyes were half shut, and he was slurring his words. At one point he failed to recognize an old friend he had known for years. And this was BEFORE he performed! Surprisingly, once Billy hit the stage in his leather pants he put on a great show. “He sang four or five of his hits like “Rebel Yell” and “White Wedding” and sounded GREAT!” At one point he narrowly missed falling off the stage, but he had the audience on their feet screaming.” Billy’s son Willem used to follow him to gigs to make sure he didn’t overindulge, but Willem is 20 now and playing in his own band. Maybe Billy should check into Celebrity Rehab.

I doubt the validity of this story as the performance in question took place on a thursday night, not SATURDAY,and Billy didn’t perform for years while raising his son, so this whole story just stinks of misinformation.

This story is bogus. It was Thursday night not Saturday. AND Billy performed 3 songs NOT 5. I was there. I saw absolutely no indication Billy was high or drunk.
