BLACK BOOK: THE HIGH PRICE OF SURVIVAL

The Dutch movie Black Book is just about to be released here and we think you should make an effort to see it. It deals with the WWII German occupation of Holland – basically the nazis VS the resistance. Paul Verhoeven directs the enthralling adventures of a clever young Dutch woman who uses her wiles to survive and and the movie makes it clear what war does to people on both sides – neither is immune to evil or good. (We like war movies that are more about people than explosives.) Dutch actress Carice Van Houten had some sexy romantic scenes with German actor Sebastian Koch who played a Nazi, and they fell in love in real life. And they’re still together.

   I saw a screening of this movie and it was really good. Both sides in a war do bad things.

   Why didn’t you post a photo clip of that sexy scene ?
   Hey, just about all the Dutch women I know still know how to use that ‘wiles’ or willie ways.
   Must be in those tulips, you have bought some for March 8th. (Right, International Womens Day)…
   If you know a foreign lady you’d best get her some flowers or candy or something to acknowledge that day or your in big trouble.
   We’re talking you’ll be sleeping in the car and not the couch.
