This is the deluxe hotel where the Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie and their brood are camped out while he films his movie “Moneyball.” Brad plays a baseball coach and they do a lot of filming at the Oakland Coliseum. The historic Claremont Hotel is in Berkeley, California, and the Pitt-Jolies have taken over the entire sixth floor in one wing. Before the “royal” family arrived, security people installed reflective material to block all the windows on the sixth floor. Their husky bodyguard has been seen several times with the kids at the hotel pool. Brad and Angelina have an occasional romantic evening – they arrange to use the spa after hours and have private time in the jacuzzi.

Everything is used to make Jolie and Pitt look good, it’s all about their image. Including Jolie’s so-called Goodwill Ambassador work and Pitts Make It Right project.

Philip Seymour Hoffman and Jonah Hill are there too. They arrived around Aug. 2 or 3, and am not sure how long they’ll be shooting. Even locals are clueless. The historic Claremont is a gorgeous hotel. This movie is based on a great book by Berkeley author Michael Lewis.
This is about 15 minutes from my house and I wouldn’t waste my time trying to catch a glimpse of either one of them.

I’m sure the production company/studio is paying for their living arrangements, not Brad and Angie. Ditto for the other “stars” in the film. I’m sure that money isn’t coming out of their own pocket. They are there for work, not for a vacation. I think it’s great the Jolie-Pitt family donates to charities, but it doesn’t mean they’re nice people. I think the jury is still out.
Angie cut Brads balls off long ago. No reason to worry about and “ring” around the waterline in the jacuzzi.
If you’ve ever worked in film or television, you know the production company pays for your accommodation when you’re shooting on location. I can assure you both Brad and Angie are not paying for that entire floor, and I bet you the production company got that floor for below cost as well. The publicity of them staying at that location, is like money in the bank for the hotel. Everyone wins.
Nicola, what you say about celeb freebees is true to an extent. However, it can get out of control. It has has a negative effect on fashion – all those stars getting everthing on loan or for free. Who is paying???
I don’t know why people hate on these two so much! They do alot of good for alot of people. Even if they are wealthy and live a fabulous live…why hold that against them. They work hard and love those kids and treat them very well! Lucky family! Good for them!

Sebastian, you are dead on. I’ve always wondered about that freebie thing. AND the bags and bags of free goodies they get JUST for showing up somewhere to pump THEIR movies. Can you imagine if the average person got presents, designer clothes, jewelry, just for showing up to do their jobs? It really makes me sick and I don’t think it was like this when “old Hollywood” was in session. What made it change and how can it get back to the other way?
Wonder if Brad has read Andrew Morton’s book just out: Angelina, an unauthorized biography. The snippets I have seen and read are really really raunchy. I think he does not trust her at all and after he reads this, he will have good reason to be wary. Anyhow, they are riding so high now that the only way to go is down; their ‘love’ story is like none other in all Tinseltown.

Reta, sooner or later the public will get bored with all this celebrity nonsense and stop buying to imitate. It may take a new generation to rebel against its brain-dead celeb-obsessed parents, but it WILL happen. Hope I am still around to see it, and enjoy the fallout.
Guys, the problem is we are all commenting on these freaks and they know it. you may believe they don’t read this stuff, but I bet you alot of them read things said about them. The freebies are passed on to us with higher ticket prices.
I agree Lenny. Someone on Team Brangelina has seen this post and thread. We just have to learn to turn off and tune out.
It’s unbelievable how this woman pimps out her kids for public view. The majority of other celebrities keep their children essentially out of the limelight…it can be done.
By trotting those kids out so often for paparazzi shots, the general public has become quite familiar with all six children: their names, their faces, etc. Obviously, Angelina doesn’t worry that the general public also includes, predators, sickos and unbalanced fans.
Lenny and Sebastian: It’s possible they are reading this stuff even now, but don’t think so. She is too busy looking in the mirror, he is too busy wondering if his looks are fading, the kids are bugging them about what toys they want, planning their next world trip, planning their next movie, in Haiti on week, in south of France next, in New Orleans next. They must never sleep.
PS: They don’t care anyway; they have tuned all their critics out and can do what the hell they want to. And speaking of hell, they should think about it.
Indy, I don’t, for one second, think that Brad or Angie do any of the work themselves. But there are scores of people who benefit directly from their success, and these people are going to make sure that those two careers never take a serious dip. Also, B & A are too full of their self-importance to ever risk being in a position to have to do The Surreal Life, or even have to drag their butts from talkshow to talkshow selling their latest project. If every comment on every post about Brangelina was negative, some serious and immediate action would be taken.
Sebastian: I also think they have a small army of assistants…laundry girl, maid, chef, housekeeper, accountant, gardeners, wardrobe, secretary, makeup, nannies. I don’t, however, think I have ever detected anyone around them that looks like a bodyguard.
In any case, I am sick to pieces of them, but still think the public is interested in them because of the conflicting gossips/stories written about them:
1) Brad is secretly meeting Jen around midnight whenever he can arrange it.
2) When Angie p**ses him off, he takes off on his Harley and lets off steam with his buddies, drinking and flirting.
3) Angelina has clipped his balls and tells him how to raise the children and when he can do his next movie.
4) Brad has bought a bachelor pad in L.A. where he spends part of the time when she gets too bossy.
5) Angelina did major flirting with Johnny Depp on one of her films.
On and on, ad nauseam…I predict they’ll be in the spotlight for a long time, because they truly live a fantasy life.

You can do what I have done and not go to any of their movies. It works for me. I don’t have to see their faces or hear their voices and they don’t get my money. Same for the Smith clan. I don’t see theri movies or her TV show. Makes me much happier to tune them out and watch something else that does entertain me without pissing me off. I don’t think Angie is a very good actress anyway. The last thing I did watch with her in in, was her action flck Tombraider (I believe that’s the title) and I couldn’t even finish watching it it was so bad. That was it for me!

Hey Indy, I believe that Brad & Angie have a mature and honest enough relationship that Brad is well aware of all her past incidents. I think Brad accepts her past Good & Bad. I mean who didn’t know about Angelina before her & Brad got together. It was a well known fact that she was a WILD CHILD back in the day. So what!!! Not eberyone is perfect like most of the people on this site.

he may have been shocked but he is a BIGGER man than that. He is not closed minded like a lot of people. He does not hold Angie prisoner to her past, first of all because she would not put up with it, and secondly because he is a spiritually and intellectually above most people. This world we live in is a BIG/HUGE place and there are many more important things to be concerned with than someones past mistakes. That is if you are smarter than the average person.

Yes INDY. I AM involved in a “Raunchy Lifestyle” on the side of being a Full-time Wife, Mother and Grandmother as well as trying to get a new business off the ground. I understand your close-minded shortcomings. I myself am not a perfect person like yourself, but you should be very careful about being so judgemental because LIFE has a way of making us snap in to reality.
As for “SebastianCanada” I don’t believe that you have to be a “saint with a Mensa membership” to stand by someone because they have a past history. I believe that people live in a very small world if they believe that others live the same lifestyle as themselves. Angelina was obviously in some sort of pain while she was doing these so called “Raunchy” things. I beleive that we should leave the judging to someone more superior and qualified!! Just my opinion.
