It must be great to be Brad Pitt’s real estate agent. Now he’s put his ocean view Malibu home with walls of glass, on the market. It’s the house Brad moved into after he and Jennifer split up. He never spent much time there because he started globe trotting with Angelina. Brad seems to be oblivious to the real estate market crash – he’s asking 18 million for the place and he paid 8.41 million for it in 2005.

Janet, it’s not just a ‘real estate crash’. It’s a full blown global recession, the likes of which America has never seen. Only a couple of months into it and millions have already lost their jobs and homes. Get the story right.

Janet the house on one side of Brad’s house is for sale for $24 million, and a vacant lot on the other side of Brad’s house is for sale for $14 mil. So maybe $18 mil is a bargain to some. It will probably sell for $12-14 mil. Brad Angie and the kids live in his LA Los Feliz home(s) which he has had since 1995 or so. This house is totally not kid friendly and Brad does have 6 small kids. What a beautiful view this house has.

The mega-rich have always been out of touch with the real world. He has had (almost) everything go his way and he doesn’t care.

It’s not Brad who set the price, it’s his real estate agent. In California, the luxury RE market hasn’t crashed nearly as hard as consumer-level real estate. He’ll do fine. Esp. since beachfront properties like this are such a rarity.

Will Brad and his common-law whore EVER have a piece of bad luck. Why are these adulterers getting more and more $$$ and tons of good luck and the regular world is suffering (This is the question of the century).

Kait have you heard about Bernie Mmadoff? Luxury RE is finished. Americs is entering a Depression, not a Recession.

Megan, BM damaged a lot of people, but he didn’t have the power to cause a depression. GWBush gets full credit for that, and hopefully it’s just a long-term recession. Whatever we call it, there are still a lot of people with huge stacks of cash under the mattress who are fond of beachfront Malibu properties.

At this point this is a depression in economics terms. How long it can still be a recession. Regarding BM the SEC had to know what was going on. The SEC married his family members, so easily they don’t have to testify against each other. The right hand and left hand knew exactly what was going on.

Married women are whoring themselves out as well–mostly for so-called “security”. In return they give sex–usually very little of it, too–once they’ve got that ring. Why do you think so many married men go to hookers?

After reading Wikipedia (personal life of Brad Pitt), he said he rejects Christianity and that this life on earth is all there is. Now I know why they are having the good life now *(untold riches, movies, travel, mansions, etc)*. It is because he said he is living life to the fullest, because when he dies, there is no afterlife. Boy, is he in for a big surprise. One would surmise that his ho feels the same way. Yes, they are in for a HUGE surprise at Judgment Day.

I can’t even begin to imagine the amount of travel these two do, along with their six offspring. To pack clothes, make travel arrangements, laundry, food, upkeep of all their mansions must take many hundreds of nannies, maids, assistants. Wish one of them would write a tell-all, but they probably had to sign an iron-clad agreement not to spill the beans. Bet it would be a best-seller tho.

The mansion he is trying to sell could easily hold about 40 or 50 orphans. Just bring some over from 3rd world countries, hire caregivers and nannies to live with them. Then the magnificent two could adopt any or all of them and/or visit when time permitted. What these two have already done so far is almost beyond belief, so why is this idea far-fetched.?

Brad Pitt is a sorry looking dude, with his eyebrows always in a depression and that sad look on his face. So he’s selling his house. Why not? His career is in the toilet. Can he still afford the mortgage?

The house for sale for $24 million is on the left or cliff side. It is the old Disney Estate, which sits on two lots, and is a tear down. Even the old formal gardens put in by the Disneyland landscape architects are still there.
The lot on the right, on the market for $14 million, is a single lot that Brad reportedly bought. After Brad showed interest, the owner listed it for $14 mil to test the market. It would be interesting to know what Brad paid, if in fact he bought it. If so, he is offering a double lot, with a tear down, and a much better view, at $18 million. A much better deal.
The first house built along this beach was built where Brad’s house is today. In photographs from the ocean, it looks like they used the original house as the foundation for the current house. This lot is the best sited on this stretch of beach.
