BREAKING AMISH: REBECCA’S NOT SUCH A GOOD GIRL

breakingamish #janetcharlton

“Breaking Amish” continues to create problems for TLC when it comes to “reality.” TLC claimed the five young Amish people featured were inexperienced and had never left their communities. Websites are popping up online claiming that several of the cast members have not lived the Amish life for quite awhile. A photograph of Abe and Rebecca holding a baby that appeared on his brother Andy’s Facebook page (Facebook?) has critics saying they already have a child together. And a photo of Rebecca allegedly at a pool party in 2010 after she was too modest to wear a swimsuit on the show, DOES imply fakery. Kate (the one with the DUI in Florida) had no trouble modeling a bikini on one episode. Expect more revelations as the show continues – how will TLC explain all this? The premise of the series is fascinating – too bad it wasn’t produced with more attention to detail – and truth.

  1. I watched this once and it was immediately clear that they are all phonies, and maybe even actors. For one thing, the guys are quite adept at cursing–so much so that they have to be bleeped quite a bit. Hardly an Amish trait!

  2. this kind of late puberty girls do everything to be the star of the show.

    (I mean illigal things)

  3. Truth in a reality show? Are you kidding? They are all staged and phoney. Besides ALL religious people are the hypocrites.

There have had been drug busts (esp. Meth) in many so called “strict” Amish communities. The more “strict” and “traditional” any religious group is they are going to be even bigger hypocrites and liars.

Give us a reality show that follows pedophile catholic priests as they get moved from church to church as they get found out in different communities. Now there is a reality show that I would believe is true!

  4. Amish are very much against having their pictures taken, so the entire premise of this show is crappola. TLC continues its downward slide into the sewer.

  5. Jenny… wow “all” religious people are hypocrites? Generalize much? How do you get from a reality show to priests? Not all priests are pedophiles, and you are wrong for painting genuinely good people with the same brush as evil ones. If you want to pick a fight with some religious groups why don’t you pick on those who make their women cover up, or who don’t allow them to drive, or be alone in the street. How about those religious people who hang 14 year old boys for being gay. Rail against that, or is that too unpolitically correct for you?

  6. WHITE herpes ultra christian enabler Tebow trash, probably had sex with George Bush’s mom in Kennabunkport, home of the worlds largest call centre staffed by knarly lesbian Kardashian like neo-conservative trickle down poopers. love your puppy !

  7. Modern churches and their executives, are by any reasoned analysis – likely a place of venality, chronic theft, sexual deviance, massive fraud and routine violence against women and children.

How many bloody examples do you need ? It turns out, that going to church is about as dangerous as getting in the van !

    ask a choir boy

  8. Strumpet’s Trumpet LOL you are fabulous bringing much needed intelligence and wit to the posts.

  9. know they were fake from day one. when jeremiah broke up with his girlfriend, i could tell that was from a script. not very good actors at all. rebecca, sabrina and abe are horrible at acting and kate no words can explain that b####.

  10. Wow! It’s shocking to hear just how fake this show really is. There have been rumors buzzing between my coworkers at DISH that this show was fabricated, but I didn’t believe the extent of it until now. I’m glad I didn’t miss out on all the other shows that air on Sundays, like The Mentalist and Homeland, just to be duped by this “Amish” series. As much as I hate to admit it though, I still plan on watching it, just to see how it plays out from here. At least my Hopper DVR can record up to six things at once, so I won’t have to sacrifice watching more authentic shows just to indulge in this TLC guilty pleasure. I can’t wait to see how the series explains all these accusations.

  11. I knew Rebecca when I was a Taxi Driver for her and her family in the Punxy community. According to Amish rules Rebecca was indeed a bad girl she was smoking, drinking at a very young age. She at times would hang out at a resturant on rt 410 dance and talk very unlady like. One thing is for certain she was a very likable and a bueatiful young person. BUT?

  12. Watch Four Weddings…and A Phantom. Lizzie from Breaking Amish:LA is actually Melissa, one of the four brides with a bunch of tattooes all over her. Really opened my eyes.

  13. This is simply because Wales is an excellent place to use like a holiday base
and purchasing a caravan just isn’t too expensive. Article Source: White could be the author informed on new
caravans. Like any insurance policies, the ultimate way to define the
advantages of static caravan insurance, or insurance for
caravans that could be moved from spot to place, is always to list the items (the expensive things, remember)
that may go wrong with them.

  14. That was a Strom imposter, obviously. It wants so badly to be Strom but just doesn’t have what it takes.
