Backstage sources at last weekend’s Lady Gaga concert in Los Angeles tell us that Britney Spears was prominently featured in the audience. Observers were surprised when Britney got up, looking very exasperated, and LEFT after the third song. Apparently Britney was disgusted that Gaga got such a strong reaction from her screaming fans every time she said a word or made a move. With minimal effort, Gaga whipped her audience into a frenzy. As she stomped out, Britney was heard muttering “I can’t believe she gets so much attention for doing NOTHING!”

I can’t believe Britney continues to go out in public with her trailer trash wardrobe covered in Starbucks spots down the front, bra straps hanging off her shoulders, rats nest of a bad weave showing proudly for everyone to see. (That’s when she DOES wear a bra, otherwise its quite icky when she doesn’t). For someone who is so beloved by her fans, she certainly makes herself look gross, disgusting and dirty. I wish she’d clean herself up, buy some decent fitting clothes and wash her hair (or get a cute haircut). But alas, once trailer-park trash, always trailer-park trash…sigh…

Side Note, couldn’t help it….Everytime the Hussein Obamas go on vacation, which is quite often, you always see Michelle with an ice cream cone in her hand. In Spain recently, she had an ice cream cone. The 27 hours recently spent at the Gulf, CNBC got her eating a huge 3 scoop chocolate sundae. So, I hope Martha’s Vineyard stocks up on ice cream, ’cause they’re a’coming for yet another vacation in 3 days. Sorry ’twas off subject, but I feel so much better now.

Lol, wow.. this is the most blatantly transparent example of jealousy I’ve seen in a long while. GaGa whites her own music and doesn’t lip sync or need software assistance to make her recordings sound on key. She also didn’t need a built-in Disney fan base willing to overlook a mediocre, minimal talent to catapult her to fame. Coming face to face with the real deal was clearly too uncomfortable an experience for Britney.

We rely on our instincts to judge certain things and what to think, then the world gradually moves on without our really noticing it and we keep juding the same way, so our instincts become increasingly wrong. The world becomes confusing for everyone. My grandma would complain all the time about the Beatles.

My problem with Britney is I feel she can’t really sing. Put her on stage with just a piano and then you’ll know what I mean. GaGa who is a freak and very homely at least has some talent.

Britney doesn’t get it, because she FEELS like she works so hard to do what she does. It only feels like a huge struggle, because her heart is no longer in it. For that same reason, she cannot capture her former fans’ hearts. Gaga has charisma, passion, talent and creative control. Britney has a bit of talent. She will never be able to recapture her past success as a solo artist. I think she should semi-retire and only do creative collaborations with other artists. Maybe that will inspire her passion again.
I wonder if her management team/family are willing to let her go this route?

I agree with most of the above comment. Britney is talentless and deluded. She is the ultimate case of someone being LUCKY and being at the right place at the right time. She has come nowhere near to earning her fame, has no intelligence (natural or acquired) and has no work ethic. She is pathetic and disgusting, and – in the current economy – a great insult to many who are worrying about keeping a roof over their heads or food in their families’ mouths.

Half of the pop stars out are talentless and prone to mediocre lyrics and music. It’s all been done before. I’m so tired of people calling these twats ORIGINAL and EDGY. They are not, they simply recycle old songs from ABBA, Madonna, Blondie and so forth.
And Gaga has been caught lip synching. Nothing special about her damn voice anyway. Her song-writing skills are nothing special. There are other artists who are better writers. You can train any monkey to do what half these bimbos do. Just give them the white stuff to sniff and throw them up on stage.

Sally, so true. I just cracked open my stash of eighties vinyl, and played some records. The experience was both wonderful and depressing. Even today’s best music is derivative and formulaic.
And it is not like this slide took twenty years. Nineties music was pretty damn good. It has taken ten years for the corporate entertainment world to destroy pop music.
Sebastian I know you’re not a Winehouse fan, but the reason why I really jammed to her stuff is that she was different from the Katy Perrys, the Lily Allens, the Britneys, the Gagas. I’m tired of hip hop and rock following the same formula. It’s really depressing.

I do like small doses of well-produced new pop (Kylie, Perry, GaGa) that give real bang for their buck buy offering style, sexiness, high energy music. After all it evolved from what I knew as alternative music back in the late-seventies and early-eighties. However, I am tiring of contemporary pop. As you say, it has all been done before, and much better.
Britney is bi-polar, that’s her main problem. And under that over-bleached little bit of hair she has (barely enough to attach extensions) is a mostly (still) bald head.
Winehouse’s music is different alright. It’s drug and booze fueled, just like she’s a drug and booze fueled performer on stage. Now THAT is the antithesis of creative, and the very definition of depressing. She also has the most obviously fake looking tits since Pam Anderson. To deride GaGa as if Amy is a comparative genuine article is delusional. I’m not particularly fond of either artist, but that comparison makes no sense, none.
