Johnny Depp and Amber Heard look happier than we’ve ever seen them in this photo at the UK premier of his new movie Mortdecai. We have a feeling it has nothing to do with the movie. Any ads we’ve seen for “Mortdecai” remind us of how awful “Annie” looked and turned out to be. The Mortdecai trailer indicates that it’s just as slapstick and poorly written and overacted as Annie. Johnny Depp seems to be destroying his own career and it appears this movie isn’t likely to change that trajectory.

Johnny Depp is a great actor, but seems to be stuck in the same weird role, regardless of film. His films try to make these one-dimensional characters into leading roles. It doesn’t work – The story lines are thin and unappealing.
He needs to do a serious drama in an ensemble cast on TV, so we can see his considerable talent again. He is 50. Time to reinvent his brand image. (And, he must fix those brown teeth!)
When Johnny and Vanessa broke up, she must have gotten custody of his hotness because since that time he’s rapidly gone down hill. He now looks like an elderly member of the mafia, and his acting is frozen into Captain Jack Sparrow forever. What a shame too. Don’t know what influence upon him Vanessa had, but it’s loss shows greatly.
The only good film he played a “normal” lead role in, in my opinion, was Finding Neverland.
Johnny’s “sell by date” is way over. Never liked him or any of his movies. And why does the self-admitted lesbo have spider webs in her hair. And why does Johnny think this is his soul mate? They will both be in therapy in no time, esp. if the wedding takes place which is highly doubtful. Oh the crazy lives of the stars makes you realize that truth is stranger than fiction.

as for his career, hes always taken chances with different projects.
he left a sure thing with 21 jump street specifically to work with john waters and he has never looked back- its all worked out for him.
flop or no flop, he need never work again hes as successful an actor can be and really doesnt have a peer in his age group/range.
that said, if goopy paltrow is in the cast you can be sure the film stinks.
