American Idol legend Adam Lambert has good reason to defend his lavish use of eye make-up. He’s currently working on his own line of make-up for adventurous men. He feels even straight guys are likely to experiment with cosmetics. (Dave Navarro comes to mind.) The line doesn’t stop at guyliner – it will also feature everything from foundation, concealer, shadow, mascara, and lip gloss, to nail polish.

After that controversial sexed-up performance at the AMA’s, Adam Lambert does a pretty good job of keeping his identity low key at the airport. This is how he left for New York after the award show. The hat and glasses actually work for him – he’s pictured throwing two empty cans of Red Bull into the trash before making his way through security.

The nominations for the American Music Awards brought out some noteworthy looks. Paula Abdul seems to be everywhere these days and it looks like she rummaged through her closet and resurrected her 1980’s “Forever Your Girl” look. We could swear we’ve seen that hat and jacket and jewelry before. But she still wears it well. Adam Lambert seems to be trying to finagle a role in one of the “Twilight” movies – he ‘s got the sly vampire look down pat.

Men no longer have to be dancers or bike riders to wear tights. Selfridge’s in London is introducing a line of fashion tights specifically for men. They cost around a hundred dollars and are being marketed as ideal for wearing under suits on cold days and for fashion reasons as well. They’re available in white, black, military green, and tribal prints. (We’re thinking Adam Lambert would love the black ones.) Each pair comes with instructions on how to put them on properly. Selfridge’s predicts many of their male customers will have “a secret in their trousers.” Who will be the first celebrity to wear these?

Adam Lambert, pictured here with his boyfriend Drake LaBry, is tired of painting on his trademark black eyeliner over and over again and keeping it touched up all day. According to The Enquirer, he toyed with the idea of getting it tattooed on (like Michael Jackson.) His family and manager quickly pointed out that the eyeliner might be fine onstage, but could look awful on the big screen and keep him from getting the movie opportunities he hopes for.

American Idol finalist Adam Lambert must have felt like a million bucks when he went back to his high school for homecoming weekend. There was a parade and all kinds of festivities when Adam returned to his alma mater, Mount Carmel High School, in San Diego. The mayor even presented him with a plaque that said “Adam Lambert Day.” Adam was dazzled by the attention. We wonder if Adam was anywhere NEAR as popular in high school as he is now.

There’s no doubt about it – American Idol frontrunner Adam Lambert is a self made man. When he graduated from high school in San Diego in 2000 he resembled a beachy blonde Brad Pitt type. Apparently he soon realized that blondes who are male, do NOT necessarily have more fun, so he gave himself some pigment – and a lot more personality. Smart move.
