Now we KNOW that Yankee hero Alex Rodriguez is serious about Kate Hudson! He’s giving up one of his favorite pastimes to please her – no, it’s not baseball. It’s high stakes poker games. Alex has long been a regular at a private game in Manhattan for high rollers, but he recently bowed OUT of the monthly games to please Kate. She thinks it’s a big waste of time and money and he wants to keep her happy.

KATE HUDSON TO YANKEE FANS: LEAVE ME ALONE!

Kate Hudson may be appreciated by The Yankees, but baseball fans aren’t so thrilled with her. Our clever colleague CJ at the Star Tribune told us that Kate was seated in the stands at The Dome in Minnesota, cheering on A-Rod, but became very irritated when fans started noticing her. Unaccustomed to seeing beautiful actresses, locals stared and some approached her for photos or autographs. Kate frowned and avoided communicating with them. Eventually cops were assigned to stand at the end of her row and keep people away. An observer in the crowd noted that if Kate wanted to be left alone, she should have sat in a private suite – not in the middle of a raucous crowd. Meanwhile the Yankees slaughtered the Minnesota Twins.

In the beginning, Kate Hudson’s romance with Alex Rodriguez was subject to lot of criticism because both were considered to be serial daters. In 2008, Alex had a nasty divorce involving strippers and Madonna. But Alex and Kate have been together for months now and A-Rod has given up his philandering ways and as a result, seems to be playing better ball than ever! Yes, Kate is credited for Alex’s current spate of home runs. She’s always cheering in the stands. The Yankees are thrilled that Alex has settled into what appears to be an honest relationship and it’s helping his game. They hope Kate sticks around.

Not everybody is thrilled about Kate Hudson’s romance with Alex Rodriguez. (Above they are pictured leaving The Spotted Pig separately after having dinner.) Some of Kate’s friends feel uncomfortable with the fact that Alex used to date Madonna. Friends that are closer to Madonna certainly don’t want to aggravate HER, so they are unobtrusively distancing themselves from Kate. Mutual friends like Guy Oseary, Demi Moore, and Justin Timberlake, are not socializing with Kate like they used to, simply to avoid rubbing Madonna the wrong way.

Madonna’s and an unidentified man (whom the photographer misidentified as A-Rod) landed at the International Airport in Toluca, Mexico, in her private plane with all three of her kids. She performs in Mexico City Saturday night. Her groupie Alex Rodriguez is flying in separately to join her. Rocco, Lourdes, and David must still be reeling from the divorce – wonder what they think of mom’s new man.

IS A-ROD MADONNA'S NEW BABYSITTER?

Guy Ritchie might be interested to know that Madonna’s rules for herself are a lot looser than the list she sent him when it comes to their kids. When Madonna sent Rocco and David to visit their father in London last week she included a strict list of do’s and don’ts that clearly spelled out what they could eat and drink and who they could or could not meet. “No new friends” she warned. Ironically, it has just been revealed that on the day of Madonna’s concert in LA – November 6- Lourdes and Alex Rodriguez were reportedly seen SHOPPING TOGETHER in Barneys in Beverly Hills. Unfortunately, there were no paparazzi outside that day.

Can’t you just IMAGINE what Alex Rodriguez and and Ingrid Casares are discussing over lunch in Miami? Madonna’s not-so-secret admirer Alex is probably pumping Madonna’s close friend Ingrid for personal information about the object of his affection. Kind of like high school “Did she (M) say anything about me?” Certainly Ingrid is thrilled by Madonna’s split with Guy because she and Guy never hit it off and she rarely saw her old friend. Now she’ll be back in Madonna’s entourage.

Madonna dragged Lourdes to yet another Kabbalah meeting in New York. We wonder what Lourdes’ father Carlos Leon thinks of Kabbalah. Madonna’s red string bracelet is supposed to ward off bad spirits, so we’re guessing that Madonna thinks the A-Rod scandal isn’t so bad – it’s actually brilliant publicity for her upcoming tour. Otherwise she’d throw that string in the trash.

TOM CRUISE TAKE NOTE: MADONNA HIT A HOME RUN FOR KABBALAH

We’re fascinated by Cynthia Rodriguez’s choice of words when she accused Madonna of destroying her marriage to baseballer Alex Rodriguez. She never used the words affair or cheating. She did use the term “marital misconduct” which her lawyer describes as “an affair of the heart.” We’re thinking Madonna didn’t fool around with Alex at all – what she did was WORSE. She seduced or “recruited” him into her Kabbalah cult. And Madonna’s Kabbalah pal Guy Oseary helped her bring Alex into the “fold.” Alex is quite a catch for the group. Cynthia did play up the fact that she is Greek orthodox and apparently wants to keep her distance from Kabbalah. Madonna didn’t capture Alex’s HEART, she BRAINWASHED him! Cynthia had better get her money out of that marriage before the Kabbalahs get it.

ANOTHER Yankee with airplane problems! Today third baseman Alex Rodriguez was in a private plane that didn’t stop soon enough and over -ran the runway at Burbank airport, landing with a thump in a sand pit, designed for the purpose of stopping runaway planes. The two crew members and five passengers had an abrupt scare but it ended quickly. It took nearly two hours of investigation before the passengers were allowed to deplane from the sand pit that stopped the plane. A-Rod, considered one of the most valuable Yankees, downplayed the incident, insisting it was no big deal.
